This is Marti. You may remember me as [personal profile] texelations, both here and on AO3 & tumblr.

I haven't posted on this journal in a couple of years, and the entries I did post back then were so raw and detailed I've privated them since. I'm going to post some updates on me shortly, but those will be access-locked. If you'd like to reconnect and read those entries make sure to comment here.

I have a question for those of you who write reviews for books: what do you keep in mind when you're writing them, and how do you gauge what your rating should be? I want to start leaving reviews on Storygraph and Likewise for the books I read.

Here are the intended fills I've gathered so far for [tumblr.com profile] batmanisagatewaydrug's 2025 book bingo card! I'm participating in The Storygraph's Challenge version, which means I'm endeavoring to fill the entire card.

I'm planning to head to the library tomorrow for a few suggestions! What do you all think so far?

I decided to make an allrecipes account a while back to get my recipes on a site where people might find them. At the time, they were having a bug where you couldn't edit your public profile, so I added one recipe and let it sit at that. Now, public profiles are working, and I wanted to edit the recipe I'd submitted to include a picture, so I went there to poke around.

And as far as I can tell you can't edit the recipes you add. Nor even delete them to repost.

That really grinds my gears and makes me want to post them elsewhere. I can't decide where that might be, though. Or rather, I just don't know what other options I might have. Does anyone have a suggestion?

I'm behind on things, please forgive me. I feel I have more energy today and I plan to go back through the last couple of days of entries and comments to reply.

In the meantime don't forget I have been working on drumming up activity at [community profile] starlightchallenge (a writing prompt challenge comm) and [community profile] paganpolypals. I want to make an entry at the latter about dream interpretation sometime this morning.

I decided to bring back [community profile] starlightchallenge and posted a poll for people to answer about when I should post prompts. If you're a writer or artist and enjoy the kinds of prompts I post there, make sure to tick a box for me!

I've founded a community with my friend [personal profile] lordandrei at [community profile] paganpolypals. You don't have to be pagan and you don't have to be polyamorous to join - just be a person friendly to both and enjoy socializing with like-minded people!
