2025 Office Snapshots, October 9. Office Snapshots, a global platform celebrating innovative workplace design, featured IN8 Design’s transformation of Cadillac Fairview’s management office inside Toronto’s landmark Toronto-Dominion Centre. Completed in collaboration with Ray Inc., the project reinterprets Mies van der Rohe’s modernist discipline into a flexible, LEED-targeted workplace that balances refinement, adaptability, and human connection.

Design Middle East, a regional publication highlighting design excellence across architecture and interiors, featured IN8 Design’s transformation of Cadillac Fairview’s management office inside Toronto’s landmark Toronto-Dominion Centre. 2024 D5 MAG, October 12. D5 MAG, an international design publication celebrating creativity and innovation, featured IN8 Design’s award-winning elevator renovation for Cadillac Fairview. Honoured with an ARIDO Award in the Distinct category, the project transformed 19 elevator cabs into luminous, artful spaces etched with 869 birds in flight. The design captures a sense of levity and movement while meeting rigorous safety and performance criteria —an inspired balance of technology, artistry, and performance. Read the article
2022 Designlines, October 22. Designlines, Toronto’s magazine for contemporary residential design, profiled IN8 Design’s renovation of principal Michel Arcand’s Rosedale condo. The feature celebrated the studio’s hallmark clarity and craftsmanship, highlighting the bright, Bauhaus-inspired kitchen, playful teal cabinetry, and spa-like bath transformation that brought the long-unfinished home to completion. 2016 Award, October 1. Canada’s best-read design and construction magazine published a cover story on IN8, entitled “Design Engineering” in reference to the firm’s focus on paring down their design concepts to the essential solutions. The interview with Michel Arcand addresses the goals and inspiration for this project as well as IN8’s unique long-distance relationship with the client and ends with a discussion of the firm’s no nonsense scheduling and budgeting approach. The national newspaper’s Real Estate section focused on the Yorkville “condo overhaul … that mixes modernity with antiques”, saying that the tension between traditional and contemporary is what makes the design successful. 2010 180° TIFF Programme Guide, November -January. “Tim Burton in the TIFF Bell Lightbox Gallery” praised “the new look and entirely revamped exhibition design” created for the arrival of this remarkable show in Toronto following its successful engagements at MoMa and the Australian Centre for the Moving Image. That new look was developed by IN8’s Michel Arcand in collaboration with Barr Gilmore Art & Design to meet the challenge of mounting the show in a space roughly 1,000 sq. ft. smaller than the original with a unique setting befitting the master filmmaker’s quirky vision.
