About the Challenge

This hackathon is all about automation and finding new and innovative ways to streamline tasks within an application. The goal is to come up with a solution that simplifies a specific task in a unique and efficient way. Whether it is through automation, process optimization, or a combination of both, the objective is to make the task in question as convenient and user-friendly as possible.

After you have come up with an interesting feature to automate, create an application (i.e. web, mobile, etc.) that has this feature integrated in.

Here are some examples of features that can be automated (remember to do this in a unique way and explain the rationale in your demo video!):

Data entry

Automating the process of entering data into web forms, such as contact information or product details

Email notifications

Automating the process of sending email notifications to users based on certain events or triggers

Social media integration

Automating the process of posting updates to social media accounts or pulling data from social media accounts

Search functionality

Automating the process of searching for specific information or keywords within the web app

Reporting and analytics

Automating the process of generating reports and analyzing data within the web app

Security

Automating the process of securing the web app with user authentication and access control

4. Develop a prototype of your solution using any tools and resources

6. Test and refine your solution to ensure it meets the challenge criteria

Requirements

What to Build

As a participant of this hackathon, you will be tasked with creating a brand new application that incorporates an automation feature. You will have to think outside the box and find a unique way to streamline a specific task within the application, making it more efficient and user-friendly. The task can be anything, it could be a daily task, a business process or any other task that you think can be improved. Your application should be functional and user-friendly, and should be built using the provided tools and resources. Additionally, you should also aim to design an application that is visually appealing, easy to navigate and has a user-friendly interface.

What to Submit

To participate in the hackathon, you must submit your completed application, a link to the project's GitHub repository, along with a 2-minute video that demonstrates the automation feature and explains how it works. The video should highlight the problem the automation feature solves and how it makes the task more efficient and convenient for the user. Additionally, the application should be fully functional and ready to use.
