About the challenge

InnovateHacks is a youth-led hackathon in the designed to empower high school students to use technology for real-world change. Over the course of 48 hours, participants collaborate in teams to design, code, and present innovative solutions to today’s most pressing challenges — from housing inequality to climate change to education access.

Requirements

What to Build

  • A functioning prototype, demo, or mockup of your solution (website, app, data tool, etc.)

  • Source code or design files uploaded to GitHub or included in your Devpost submission

 

  • A short project description (250–500 words) explaining:

    • The problem you’re solving

    • Your solution and how it works

    • Technologies used

    • Potential impact

What to Submit

  • A 1–3 minute video demo (hosted on YouTube or Vimeo) showing:

    • What your project does

    • How it works

    • What makes it unique

 

  • You do not need to appear on camera — screen recordings are fine!
