The Innovation District has six core functions providing different services to different groups, but it also connects innovation nodes all over campus and beyond. Lōkahi Therapeutics announced the participation of the University of Georgia’s Student Industry Fellows Program in its ai² (actual intelligence) Futures Lab program for the Spring 2026 semester. Through this collaboration, University of Georgia students will engage in applied, real-world biotech and life sciences projects designed to bridge academic learning with industry execution.
When Anthony (Tony) Llano joined the University of Georgia’s College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) earlier this year as director of industry partnerships and project-based learning, he brought with him a clear goal — to help bridge the gap between academic research and the industries shaping the future of food, farming and sustainability.
