Hi. Do you want me to sell you on amab NB Siffrin? I’m going to try and sell you on amab NB Siffrin. And maybe even a little bit of tranfem siffrin and/or loop. as a treat. just for you.

So, (I put the cheese back in the fridge.)

This read of mine comes from a number of things, a lot of them to do with the game’s themes, and to do with Siffrin being a narrative foil to the other characters. And Vaugarde as a whole.

It is however, not what my like, no-holds-barred no-rules just-for-me headcanon for Siffrin would be. (which is intersex ‘head empty no thoughts’ siffrin, for the record). This is instead my close-reading-of-the-text-and-themes interpretation of Siffrin.

This is why I’m gonna be saying Read and not Headcanon, to distinguish the two. (Anything I consider a little bit too much of a stretch vis a vis interpretive hard reads I will call a headcanon. But those are for the last bit of this post.)

i've had the need to make a post-timeloop sequel for where they Try To Kind Of Find Things Out About The Country Because I Am Obsessed With Writing The Country And I Need To Get It Out Of My Head Immediately. for like 2 years now

i intend to format the name like "Blah Blah Blah Probably Gonna Name It The Island North Of Vaugarde Because I Am Not Good At Naming Things: a fanmade sequel" and i intend to put like 6000 warnings in the splash about how you HAVE TO PLAY ISAT FIRST!!!! and its FANMADE!!! and i intend to make all of the assets myself and give these guys some SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT LOOKS!!!

so tl;dr. does a free fanmade post-timeloop sequel with totally original assets with the aim of Throwing My Ideas At People still follow your terms properly!!!

Psssttt, hello! I wanted to ask why you chose those specific genders for your characters, and if it was an accident or not. I mean, the party is pretty balanced and diverse gender-wise, but I'm unsure if it was done on purpose or if it just sorta happened organically.

Bonus question: if you could create a genderswapped version of any character (which you can. But we're talking hypotheticals here), who do you think it'd be interesting to do that to and how would it impact the story/design/whatever other aspect of them would be impacted by that change?

genders (and sexualities) happened organically! in my head all my characters are queer (aka not 100% straight, or 100% cis) until proven otherwise, and some might be like “and thats all you’ll get to know”, and some will scream at me “ACTUALLY IF WE WANT TO BE PRECISE–” and they’ll hit me with everything. it’s actually been interesting because some ISAT characters want to tell me how precise their relationship to gender/sexuality is, while the Truth Scrapper characters are like “queer.” they’re all genderfluid and bi. and that’s all i got. I think the worldbuilding is different enough in Truth Scrapper that it’s less important to them. WHICH IS FUN TO EXPLORE TOO

genderswaps… in isat i think odile being a man would not change a single thing. mirabelle being a man might change his relationship to his asexuality/aromanticism… still about gender roles, but the other way around. the weight of being The Provider, maybe? and isabeau being a woman would change her from the fake himbo to the fake bimbo which wouldve been so fun. hmm or would it? i dont think vaugarde is too worried about gender roles, so would their society even have the “women=dumb” thing? this is fun. someone should make a game about this
