Admissions

The goal of INTERLINK’s admissions policy is to admit students who will benefit from INTERLINK’s academic, college, and career focused English program. This goal dovetails with that of the host institution, UNCG, in paving the way for international students to succeed academically and professionally. Our admission policy, including age limit, SEVIS status, and financial eligibility, is in place to create an adequately rigorous learning environment with high ethical and academic standards.

  • Students with sufficient funds are eligible under the policy given to us through the SEVIS I-20 eligibility form.
  • Students age 17 and older are admissible. Students below the age of 17 can be admitted at the director’s discretion.
  • INTERLINK does require a minimum language proficiency level. Students are required to take a placement test to ensure the minimum language requirement is met. Students who place below Level 1 have the option to enroll in our Fundamentals class.
  • Transferring students’ I-20 must be in active status. INTERLINK UNCG will not accept students who have failed to maintain status

INTERLINK accepts only students with some knowledge of English. Absolute beginners should not apply.
