Rooted in Illinois with National Reach
Illinois has some of the nation’s most productive land and diverse economies. We’re home to people of all backgrounds, with a population that closely reflects the nation’s.
We are a proving ground for ideas that can move us closer to our vision of health justice. Our partnerships with state and local governments, institutions, local nonprofits, community care providers, and health advocates can be replicated in other communities in other states.
IPHI works hand-in-hand with changemakers to:
- Recognize and help to build power in communities
- Protect everyone’s right to live safely
- Connect more people with the resources and opportunities they need to be healthy and thrive

The IPHI Approach
IPHI creates sustainable foundations for health justice.
We drive innovative systems change by challenging unjust policies, correcting power imbalances, and responding nimbly to our communities’ most pressing needs.
