International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse & Neglect
ISPCAN is a global membership organization for anyone working in the protection of child rights. From every discipline and sector, we break down silos across sectors to help find innovative, child centered solutions. Wherever children live, learn and play under the care of adults are opportunities for intervention and prevention.
We connect multi-disciplinary professionals across sectors together, and with data, tools and resources to think differently. We ensure that data informs practice, practice informs research, and that policy development will make lasting, quality improvements in child protection systems. Ultimately our goal is to build better public health systems of care to improve the prevention, detection, and response to child abuse and neglect.
Working together with our members and partners, ISPCAN innovates and accelerates change so that a brighter future for all kids is possible.

Impactful ISPCAN Webinars
iGuardian Program for Trusted Adults
Keeping Kids Safe in a Rapidly Changing Digital Environment.
Project iGuardian® is presented by Homeland Security Investigations, the primary investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security. Project iGuardian is designed to inform children, teens, parents, educators, practitioners, social workers, law enforcement and other trusted adults about the risks that children face in the online environment, and to implement preventive strategies while learning how to report suspected abuse.
This engaging presentation covered tactics used by online predators, the growing crime of sextortion, the information devices give away, and the newest apps, online games and social networks children are using. There was also example scenarios shared based on local investigations that helped us better understand how children are victimized online.
