This is actually a great game. a lot of what i have to say has already been said but what i haven't seen pointed out is how good a demo this is. i cant really break down how exactly this is but you've given the player access to enough stuff and mechanics that not only keeps them engaged, shows them how the game is gonna be played in the future, but Also keep them in the game and playing. that is a hard thing to nail in a demo, kudos to you!

on the gameplay side of things, i did bump into the balance issues that Alex_x90 pointed out, being that some cards and play-styles are just straight up better that others.

in my experience, the shop the player really has to purchase two cards; one being the candle and the other the wanderer. the abilities of the other cards don't really scale up to them at all.

this is very much an issue that is particular to a demo, adding more content and changing the way the player purchases cards will actually solve this issue. I've thought about this for a bit and imo until you have a good amount of cards for the player to mess around with and just more ways to generate massive amounts of light in general, i think this approach you have rn is fine. but in the future demos, when you've added more content in the game, changing the way card purchases are made can resolve this (you can also look into some games like path of achra or Crawl or just slay the spire as just some examples that come into mind).

overall. a very good game and demo. i very much anticipate a full release and more content. good luck on your development journey <3

as i said nothing major or game breaking :p . the only thing i noticed was that when youve purchased some speed upgrades, at the start of the game, the harvester would fire before the followers have spawned in which makes you miss some precious seconds. i understand its nothing major, at that point in the game youre rolling in currency, but you know, as i said its just a minor thing

hope this help! good luck again <3

commenting to boost engagement. very enjoyable experience! gameplay was fun. only negatives i saw were a couple of polishing issues but no major ones. good luck with your project <3

Very cool and entertaining! i really enjoyed my time with this game!

best i managed was 15k :p

My bad, i left the comments disabled by accident </3

Thank you :)

youre free to use it in any way, shape or form :)

Hey!

sorry for the inconvenience. my account wasn't set up properly so the payout system didnt work. now it should be fine

you can donate 1$ or more for the expansion

hey mantao!

thanks for sharing your video! good to see that my asset is being used in the community!

your game looks very interesting. its been a while since i played a platformer. i look forward to its release later this month!

if you dont mind i also have some suggestions regarding your video. i love devlog videos they are one of the best things to watch to get motivated. and your devlog series looks very interesting. although i was looking forward to hearing what you think of when you were designing a level and overall what your thought process was. its really fascinating to me to hear how people go when designing a level or an asset or anything. if you could do a commentary style voiceover addressing your thoughts and design process that would be wonderful

either way consider me subscribed to your channel. looking forward to the next vid

also if i may, another note about the game this time. you have some really interesting visuals going on in your game! the moving chains look great! although the levels are a bit empty lookin. maybe you can juice up the levels a bit? i have some examples in the asset page if you need a reference. although its your game maybe you want it this way and i totally respect that

thank you for using the asset. looking forward to hearing from you soon

thanks. yea totally use it in whatever you want!

sure. whats the problem? i have some examples on the page but if you still dont understand, contact me on discord i can send you some more

glad to hear! sadly couldn't try the game since im moving out soon but i'll try to test it as soon as i can. i do have windows so no worries there. wish you the best on your endeavor

eyyy you made it!

thank you very much! glad to hear it came in use :)

hey! thanks for commenting. although a very inviting suggestion i dont think i'll be able to do that since 1) making a character set is not a easy feat and 2) i dont have the time for it right now. maybe later in 2021. i'll make sure to contact you as soon as it is ready.

thanks for letting me know. it seems like all the priced files are reset for some reason.

maybe this would help?

thanks for playing! glad you enjoyed the game! im sorry for the lack of sound effects. i was running out of time since i started this project 3 Days into the jam. i will add some in the post jam version

thanks for playing! there is actually a way. you have to play teh red tape. ( the player's shirt is red) but i forgot to write it in the desription. my apologies

thanks for playing! i know it can get a little repetitive. the game right now isnt the thing i had in mind. the main idea was that aside from rewinding tapes the customers would also swap tapes(because the shop you work in is actually a stop n swap sort of thing) but i started 4 days in the jam and sort shot myself in the knee with it

good concept! the controls are snappy and responsive but its annoying to start from the first level when you fail. aside from that. solid game. best of wishes!

this game is absolutely fantastic! its a shame there were so few levels to play. looking forward to more content! Best of Wishes!

great game! the gameplay is variant the platforming was challenging but you know its do able. the characters are very stylish and well made but their in game counter parts i think needs a bit more work! best of wishes

nice concept. it could really be fun if you put more time on it. currently its good but there is room for improvement. best of wishes

really nice job on the graphics! the minimalistic style really adds another layer of beauty to the game! best of wishes!

nice concept for a puzzle game. the execution is good but i feel like a tutorial would be really helpful. best of wishes!

pretty good game! the movement is tight and the music is dope. keep up the good work!

thanks for reviewing the game! i'll make sure to check your game out ;)

thanks for playing!

thank you! >w<

hey there! im thee creator of the tileset you used int your game and im just so happy to see my art used in a super polished game like this.
i see that you have changed the tilese a little bit and added some tiles of your own. im not here to claim creadit or anything. i just want to know if you have any suggestions or ideas that i can add to the next update of my tileset :)
