Moving?

So, since March I have had this impression that I needed to move to Utah....um, what! I don't like Utah, why would I move there?!? However, the Lord knows me best and I guess the way to get me to go is to make my life here in Arizona ever so uncomfortable. I can't find a new job, my ward got split and most all my friends are in the other ward, everyone I like or start to be interested in gets married and everytime I talk to friends about moving out with them...they suddenly find the love of their life and get married. On a side note, I am taking applications for my next best friend...just be prepared to get married in the next few months.

On Saturday, I received the impression again that I needed to go to Utah. On Sunday, I e-mailed a recruiter that I had been working with here that moved to Utah recently to see if she could find me a job. On Monday, I contacted Church Employment to see what help they could provide. I am doing my part, however, I still need to find a place to live and a job. Everything else will be worked out. I am looking to leave around Sept. 12. Oh my gosh, that is in less than a month!

Well, wish me luck. Now that I will be so far away from my family and friends I will do better about posting information here. Maybe I should start telling people I have a blog...

Vacation!

Last month I went to LA with my good friend Nica and we had a blast! This was my first vacation without any of my family members! Our friends Steve and Lauralynn got married, which was a very happy occasion. So we left Friday after work and got there late Friday night.

Saturday we were able to got to the LA temple and go through a session, that temple is huge. Then we hurried back for the wedding at 3pm in Flintridge. It was beautiful and they were both glowing. We partied at the reception until about 730 and then headed back to the hotel. Our plans were to go and changed and then hang out in LA, but we were both so tired! I was in bed by 830 and asleep by 9....what can I say I am getting old!

Sunday we found a ward that met at 11am and went to church. It was fun to be back in a family ward, but I missed the quietness of sacrament in my singles ward. After church we went to the Getty Museum. It was a lot of fun to see the diefferent art pieces and they had a special exhibit on Midevil pieces. We left there and went to the Santa Monica pier and people watched and drank hot chocolate.

Then Monday we just hung around Burbank, saw a movie and got pedicures. Our flight left that afternoon, so after almost getting in an accident in the rental car we decided to head back to the airport early and check in. It was a great time and it reminded me how fun it is to travel. I have attached pictures for your viewing pleasures!
