Accurate Measurement Drives Impactful Programs
IYF employs rigorous data collection and analysis to drive continuous improvement of our programs. To ensure accuracy, we compare self-reported data against local benchmarks and exclude results that lack clear interpretability. We’re committed to clear measurement, transparent analysis, and sustained growth through learning.
We use baseline, exit, and ex-post surveys, along with third-party evaluations, to track and learn. Every insight helps refine programs and strengthen outcomes for youth worldwide.

Case Study: In-House Expertise Drives Scalable Change
IYF develops proprietary methodologies for program design and measurement to build models that are replicable and scalable in diverse contexts. At the heart of IYF’s methodology is its flagship “Bridging the Skills Gap” approach, which begins with a robust Skills Needs Gap Analysis (SNGA). This diagnostic tool identifies mismatches between labor market demands and education systems, enabling IYF to co-create solutions with employers, educators, and youth. The SNGA has been successfully implemented in diverse contexts including Mexico, South Africa, Brazil, and the United States.

What Success Looks Like
IYF designs and delivers programs to produce successful outcomes:
- Job placement
- Enrollment in higher education or training
- Entrepreneurial success
- Sustained employment over time
We track both employer and youth satisfaction for six months after placement, to ensure our programs build the foundations for continued career growth and sustained employment.
