This winter has been a old-fashioned winter….cold and a lot of snow. About 1.40 meter in my yard now,and so on the roof.It is a lot ofkilo ,so I had to ask some one to help me and get the snow of the roof…This is what my house looks like to day… and how my courtyard looks… or this is how it looked this morning. I was so luckey that the man ,who hews (?) snow come with his traktor and remove most of the snow… And That feels great 😊I have tryed to do some clearing in my sewing room when it has been cold or snowing ….and there I found a tiny dresdenplate waiting to be somthing, I also had this frame just lying …. and by putting them together I got me a cute little decoration.

Now I hope most of the winter are done, but old saying tell February the 4. are the middle of snow…so I just has to cross my finger and hope it is wrong…

Time will show….

Cristmas are just a few weeks away,and for as every year I’m a part of the SSCS fun. To day I got my parsell all the way from Australia .Just look what great ornament I got. Tiny stitches on the kangaroo and on the little koala ,luckey me even got some Maltesers … Thank you my secred santa Christmas swap partner. Promice to wait untill Christmas with the main gift..but it will be difficult ….This spring I made me a little fairy garden…Sweet smal plants,some from Australia the labell tell….I have not been to satisfied with them,not growing ,but not ready to be in trash.It has been like they where saying : OK,I’m alive ,but it is not OK…Untill now,when the snow and cold weather are here in Norway,they start growing . So now I soon got a big fairygarden 🙂 Yesterday I made some secred small Christmas gifts ,and suddenly I was playing with selvages… I realy dont know how it happend,but I’m satisfied with the result … new coffeecupsleeves. Some of the selvages are so beautifull so I have to make something with them…

Early winter days are pefect for indoors playing with fabrics. New magazine are so great to get in the mailbox. My newest magazine are Patchwork and Quilting,in nr fifty four Tori Smith has great patterns called Anything Goes.. I just had to made the small items.I spend some fun and busy time looking at my ‘ why did I bougth that fabrics’ I had some fussy cutting to do. And I found a lot of tiny great pieces to use… some new and a lot of old fabrics,but AS named Anything Goes 😊 I will do more of the fussy cutting,it is so fun ❣️

This morning I was so Happy I could stay at home… there was a lot of snow,and started to rain a lot … A great sewing day listening to Christmassongs on the radio,Happy no one heard me signing .LOL Out doors ,now in the evening, there are ice all over –and I have to go shopping to morrow… I have to put on ice spikes on my shoes and walk careful. I have no need to fall,not even for testing my osteoporsis… 😉

I have some Christmasgift knitting and The wicked hex mini quilt ( pattern by Libs Elliot) to play with.

For the last years there has been some knitting fun at FaceBook,this year I will make me a new shawl and Christmas mittens. We got one clue every week .A little behind on the mittens ,but I will be fine before Christmas …

Not the best photo,but here are so fare I got with all the Splendid Sampler blocks… They have been put away for sometime,but now ,together with a few more ufoblocks they are my new winter quilt.

So now the snow and cold time can come any day,I can stay warm. 😉

This is the first time I blog from my phone… still something new to try… but it feels great. May be I can blog more … can’t promise something but I will try.. 

The thing I want to show you to day are as sayd the sun make a huge diffrent. 

This is a new little tabelrunner made for fall or Halloween using some if my Cotton and Steel leftover + some more fabrics. I think some of the leftover went missing ,so I tryed to Quilt it in diffrent pattern… did not accent any success … untill the sun shine on my table…

So now I have to hope for a lot of sunny days this fall 🙂

For three months now I have been playing with the Sew Sampler boxes from Fat Quarter Shop.It is a secred what you get in the box of the month. The first box I god was with the fish. Elisabeth Hartman pattern and fabrics. Then I got the tablerunner ,Bonnie and Camille Charm Pack ,I also got one of Moda Matchbox Quilts. And this month I got fabrics from Tula Pink and a great pattern for a quilt.

I have also at last manage to do me a quilt from the Splendid Sampler blocks I started to Sew a year ago. I did’n make all the blocks,my paperpices blocks was to small when I copy them… To bad, but when I add some other blocks I liked the quilt.King winter has come for a visit here at home…I wonder if it means end of fall and wintertime for the next 5 or 6 months. Time will show,and I have lots and lots of Quilts to Sew and items to knitt….  Luckey me 🙂

So here I’m ready to have a fresh start… 

As I have told before I was in Birmingham at the Festival of Quilts in august, this time one of my quilts was in one of the competition. It is a little wallquilt made as a Nordic runecalendar,Primstaven.

I have also had a little quilt in a modern quilt compatition. Luckey me won the second prize,and got a big pile of fabrics.

Yesterday Nemo and I went to Oslo Strikkefestival, the Oslo knitting festival. My first time. There was a lot of more or less crazy ( in a good way) ladies and a lot of shops.We could not come close enough to have a look in most of the shops, because of all the other visitors, but I manage to bring some new yarn home with me….

Today Nemo and I made us some new indicolour yarn.
