We had a very merry Christmas!

I think Santa crashed his sleigh and dumped his load here
Image

I think Jake was more excited than the kids, he was up and down all night. Nick woke up first at 7 am and then Kate and Max came in around 7:30, not too bad!
Image I love the kids expression on their faces!

I asked the kids what their favorite thing about Christmas this year was and they both said it was having the cousins here! I would have to agree! That is what it is all about being with family and friends that you love and celebrating the Saviors birth!

Christmas Eve

We started a tradition a few years ago with our little family that we go out to dinner and then see a movie on Christmas Eve! It is fun and low key, besides us their were only 2 other families in the theater. We went to Dickie's BBQ and then saw Yogi Bear! The kids really enjoyed it and really loved having their cousins join them!

Max is getting ready for bed and making sure to leave the
"magic key"
for Santa to unlock our front door
Image

We don't have a chimney so Santa uses the front door and the "magic key" to get in!
Image
Kate putting out the reindeer food! They were hungry reindeer this year it was pretty much all gone the next morning...and yes Kate and Max checked!
Image

Sporting their new jammies the Elves left them. Buddy the Elf makes the best Pj's!
Image
They opened up the gifts they had bought for each other and Nick ate the paper. Max got Kate a new barbie and some barbie clothes. Kate got Max some Halo figures. It is fun because they just open that on Christmas Eve and it does not get lost in chaos of Christmas morning so they really know what they each picked out for one another.Image
Santa's little Elves had a late night this year. We are usually more organized but the biggest elf did not have a cable he needed for the new TV!!!

Some of Our Christmas fun.....

This is my favorite time of the year, and there is no better way to spend it than with family. My oldest brother, Kurt, and his family flew in on Tuesday and will be here for Christmas!!!! I thought it had been longer but the family informed me it had been 4 years, not 8, since we were all together for Christmas, but anyway it is great to all be together!! I love seeing the kids together they have so much fun! My amazing parents took us out to dinner, and then we went and walked around Temple square and looked at the lights. My camera battery died at that point, but it was beautiful and Kate loved seeing the Temple and all the Christmas light! It was pouring rain all night except while we walked around it was perfect!
Thanks Mom and Dad! I ♥ you !

Thanksgiving 2010

We had a very nice Thanksgiving this year, and I was very Thankful that Grandma and Grandpa hosted the event this year. It was a very low key day and I really enjoyed it. We had wonderful food and company that day. Later that night we went and visited Grandma Money and Papa Ned and had another yummy dinner with them on Friday!

P.S. I scored on black Friday, we went to Walmart around 4:45 scored a lap top for $200!! A nice man and his daughter had waited all night and got 2 and decided they only wanted 1, I over heard them talking and said if your not getting it may I have it and they gave it to me!
If you could have seen Jake's face when I came around the corner with it!
PRICELESS!

Great Grandma

Image

Image We went and visited Great-Grandma Phillips and Grandpa Dale on Saturday. She is the sweetest lady. She had a terrible fall in August and broke her neck and had major surgery to repair it! What a strong women she is, she amazes me! I think she is doing very well for her age and what she has been through. She loves when any of the kids come to visit, I love the last picture of her playing with Nick!

MAD MAX THE MONEY MAN

Max had a fun day yesterday at school, he got to go in the money machine! They had a fundraiser and sold cookie dough and if they sold 15 tubs they were able to have a chance in the money machine. I had to work but Jake was able to go and got some pictures for me. He did great, he grabbed 6 one dollar bills in his 30 seconds. He said it is much harder than it looks. And later that day I got a call from the school and they gave Max $10 more so he was excited! He is already bugging me to go and spend it!
This was very exciting for Max because he LOVES MONEY!

4 months old and his 1st Halloween....

Image My little chunk weighs 14 lbs and 9 oz and is 25 inches long.
He and Max have the exact same stats at this age.
Image What Nick is doing right now????
He loves to suck on his thumb, fingers or fist
He is starting to roll from tummy to back
He has discovered his feet and is trying to figure out how to get them to his mouth
He is the best baby, loves to smile and giggle
He loves to coo and jabber to anyone or anything
He is starting to play with toys and whack himself in the head with them
Has discovered his hands actually work and do things, he grabs at everything
He is so chubby, elastic band wrist, rolls on his thighs, and fat little feet
I love kissing all of the fluff!!
He is ticklish on his neck, that is where you get the deep belly giggles
WE LOVE LOVE LOVE this BOY!!

Living the high life....in WVC

For Fall break we went to the big West Valley and stayed in a hotel with a fun pool for the kids. They thought they were big time! Thursday night we at at Cheesecake Factory, swam and watched a movie. The next morning we got up and swam some more, went to Granato's for sandwich's, went to Liberty park to eat and play and then to Gardner Village to see the witches! On Saturday, Jake, Max and I went to see Thriller. It was really fun and Max really liked it! I love how excited kids get over something as simple as staying in a hotel 30 miles from home! By all means it was not Disneyland but it was fun to just get away and play with the kids!
