July

Although it's super hot, I really love July in Utah.  It's one big BBQ and party.  We loved the 4th of July fireworks:

Jeff and I went to the Real Salt Lake game on the 24th, complete with an awesome firework show afterward that you get to view from the field!

June: I Love Summer!

First Stop: Girls weekend in St. George.  I took my girls plus Stacia and Emily down for the weekend, and the 5 of us plus my mom saw The Little Mermaid at Tuacahn!  Such a great show.  We also had a chocolate dipping party:

Swim Lessons: Becca and I got to take a Mom-n-me class this year, and it was totally worth getting a babysitter to watch Lindsay while I had 1 on 1 time with her!

 Alayna took her own class while Becca and I went to ours.  She made a lot of progress!

Jeff and I ran the American Fork Half Marathon together.  It was a big accomplishment for both of us: Jeff being that it was his 1st time, and for me I finished in 2:04, which I was happy about.

Also in June, Alayna had her recital.  She was a cowgirl for tap and a sailor for ballet.  She was focused and adorable, AND...she won the award for Preschooler of the year which means we get 1/2 tuition for the whole next year!!!

May: birthdays, a graduation, and more!

May is always a fun and crazy month, but was even more so this year.  We got back from our cruise, Jeff turned 30, Lindsay turned 1, and we had a preschool graduate.  

For starters, I couldn't let Jeff's 30th fall through the cracks.  I planned our usual date night to Tucano's and had some of his old roommates and high school buddies + wives meet us there to surprise him.  I was so glad it worked out!

 

The next day was the big day for these 2.  Here are the birthday buddies!

Next stop: wrapping up preschool with a field trip to the Ogden dinosaur museum

 Alayna's best friend at preschool, Morgan (who you'll notice is quite taller than Alayna), plus Morgan's little bro

 So glad to be able to go on a field trip with her!

Alayna had a great year at Miss Melanie's Preschool

My brother and his family came to watch one of Alayna's soccer games in May.  His wife, Stacia, is a photographer and got some great pictures of Alayna.  That day she was really in the zone!

Dad and the girls bought me a packet for Mothers Day that had 1,000 ladybugs in it, to release into your garden!  The girls loved setting them free!
