Busy Busy Busy

I just noticed that I haven't blogged in months. Life here has been a little bit heck tic.

Jason went off to training for Skywest at the end of February. He was pretty much gone for 6 weeks. I say pretty much because for the first 3 weeks he would come home on Friday or Saturday for few hours at a time.

Training was STRESSFUL!

Not just on Jason but on Me and both of our families.

Jason said it was the hardest thing he's ever done. He came home last Tuesday and then left again Monday to do his check rides. He wont be home until Friday night and then he'll do the same thing next week.

After next week who knows what his schedule will be like. As for right now he's domiciled in Palm Springs, CA.

Which means anytime he has a trip he has to get himself to Palm Springs to fly out of there.

This life is going to be really crazy for a while I think.

I'm trying to get used to being by myself most of the time.

We're lucky to have family so close by. I hang out a lot with my fam!

{In Other News}

Isabelle had tubes put in her ears on March 25th.

We have been battling double ear infections for 4 months and finally we were able to have the tubes put in. It has made a world of difference!

I had to take her over to the Primary Children's out patient building by the Riverton Hospital. The procedure was only 15 minutes long but they had to put her under to put the tubes in.

When she woke up she was confused and kept saying

"IZZY, IZZY, IZZY"

Once I was allowed to take her home she slept for almost 3 hours and then was perfectly fine.

Before tubes Isabelle was constantly sick or at least she looked sick with her snotty nose.

Now she looks healthy and her ears aren't bothering her anymore.

Its amazing the difference the tiny little tubes have made!

Well that's a quick update about our Family. I promise to try my best to blog more regularly.

I have a 1 year old

Today my baby is 1!
I cant believe she's been in our lives for a year.
I remember thinking after having her (besides thank heavens that's over)
is that she was the most beautiful baby ever.
She was all wrinkly and her extremities were blue but she was beautiful.
She had the cutest little scowl that unfortunately went away a week later.
She has done so much growing in the last year its hard to remember that she was once
a tiny little thing.
We've enjoyed so many first with her..
her first bath,
first tooth,
first time she rolled over,
first time she smiled for real,
first time she laughed,
first time she crawled,
her first steps..
I cant wait to see all the other first that are to come.
Isabelle has brought so much joy into my life and the lives of those around her
its amazing what the love of a child can do!
Well beautiful, determined, independent little Isabelle Happy First Birthday.
You've brought so much this first year of your life
we cant wait to see what this next year brings us.
We love you!!

11 months and counting

My baby is now 11 months. Next month she'll be 1, I cant believe it. I swear she gets funnier and more silly each month. She's starting to run a little bit but she always looks down at her feet so she ends up falling all the time. She has so much energy and is always on the go. We're trying to teach her to go down the stairs backwards but so far she hasnt grasped the concept. I'm pretty sure she see's everyone else going down the stairs the good ol' fashioned way and she wants to do the same.
Man is this little girl a jabber box. She talks and talks and talks. It gets really interesting each Sunday in church when she's talking through every prayer and lesson. Its pretty cute though!
I'm so excited that her first Christmas is a round the corner. Its going to be some much fun see what her reaction is to all the presents.

Thanksgiving and Black Friday

I know I'm a little behind but I thought it was still worth writing about. Thanksgiving was nice this year. We didn't have to worry about running around to see both families. Jason's parents went to California to see his sister and My mothers parents went to Las Vegas to see my aunt and uncle. So that left us just one place to go, dad's parents. It was nice to sit around and talk to everyone without having to worry about running off to see other family members. After dinner and sitting around to talk forever. Jason took Isabelle home to bed and I stayed out at my parents to go Black Friday Shopping.

We go shopping every year on Black Friday. I know some might call us crazy but I think its actually fun. I never really go with anything in mind that I need to buy but I always find things. Things didn't go exactly to plan this year. We started off at Toys 'R' Us but it was going to be a 2 hour wait out in the cold. So we headed over to Walmart, some of there sells started at midnight. We ended up standing in line for different things from 10:30-5:30. We were at walmart all night long. We made some friends, saw people get trampled, waited in line for a wii only to find out they supposedly didn't have any (they did but it took them an hour to find them). It was a crazy night but you can be sure we'll be going out again next year.

10 months and other fun stuff

Well another month has past and that means Isabelle is now 10 months old. She's growing like crazy and learning a ton. I know everyone thinks their babies are smart but seriously Isabelle is SO SMART! She can blows kisses, and tells everyone she sees "hi". She now has 3 teeth on top and 2 on the bottom. She's been walking for a month now but she really wants to run (She's always trying to keep up with her cousins). One of our favorite things to do is watch Isabelle dance. Her favorite song is "All the Single Ladies" and she even sings along with it, by singing the "oh oh oh" part. Its so fun to watch her learn and discover new things. She truly is the best thing ever and the biggest blessing we've ever had.

A few weeks ago Jason and I along with our friends, Slyler and Hilary, went to the iFly and FlowRider in Ogden. The iFly is a giant wind tunnel that's used to train sky divers. We each got to spend 2 minutes in there in one minute segments. I know 2 one minute sessions doesn't sound very long but trust me it actually seems like forever. I found it very difficult to relax my first time in the tunnel. I was squeezing my butt-cheeks together so tight my butt muscles hurt for a week. The second time went much better. Jason and I "flew" practically the whole time and really enjoyed it. I think we'll definitely go back one day.
Isn't the clothing pretty?

The FlowRider is an inside man made wave that you can surf on. Let me tell you, I sucked! The longest time I stayed up was about 2 seconds. Jason actually did pretty well, He at least got up and rode the wave for a few seconds. You know the one thing that I thought was weird about the FlowRider is there was no instruction on how to do it. They kind of just throw you in there. Lucky for us there was a very nice pro-surfer who was more than helpful. If it weren't for him we wouldn't have had any clue on how to ride the wave (not that I know now). It was fun experience and its really to bad we don't have one out this way so we can get more practice.

Now unfortunately for the bad news. last Friday Jason was let go from his job. Apparently the slow season is upon us and there wasn't enough work to go around. What do you say other than It Sucks! It sucks that they let him go so close to the holidays and with no warning. I know that something will turn up and we're surprisingly optimistic about the whole thing. We're doing everything we can to stay hopeful that some other job will come up quick. We're keeping our fingers crossed that the airlines start their big hiring boom soon. Please keep us in your prayers as this is a crazy time for us. We know we're better off then a lot of people and we're counting our blessing. We're just hoping a job comes along soon, if you hear of any job openings let us know. For now Jason's a stay at home dad and he's enjoying the time with Isabelle. I kind of like that he's home with her, to bad we cant afford for him to do that forever.

On a happier note I realized I never blogged about Halloween. Since this Halloween is my favorite holiday and it was Isabelle's first I think I should at least include a picture of her in her Halloween costume. She looked so cute as Tinker Bell. She had matching sparkly green shoes that squeaked when she walked in them. She was the cutest little fairy ever. It was way to cold outside to do any real treat or treating. We did go to my grandmas house and let Isabelle trick or treat with my cousins and nephews but after 5 houses it was to cold to keep her out. She was extremely excited to see people put candy in her little bag. She carried her little bag around so proud. Halloween is so much better when you have a kid to take treat or treating. I cant wait for next year, Hopefully the weather is better.
