Life before baby...

I know I seriously suck. I had the best of intentions, but I've felt like such a spaz. Between being prego, working, getting ready for baby and Relay, I haven't taken the time to update my blog. (I just need to stop thinking I need to redo the background every time I update. I don't care if it has a Christmas theme, I'm going to update more!)
Here are some pics before the baby:
His room, patiently waiting his arrival....

I had so much fun with his room! Who knew boys are so fun??

My baby shower.

My friend Amy and my mom threw me the cutest shower at the park. (Amy you are such a good friend, I love you dearly by the way.) Unfortunately it got rained out, so it was kind of short. But I have the best girlfriends!! I feel so lucky.

The night before my c-section, I'm so excited to get this little bugger out of me!

My Cute Cousin Caitlin....

I just wanted to forward an e-mail my cousin sent all her friends in efforts to raise money for the Huntsman Cancer Institute. We are so lucky to have such a great center here in Utah and the Institute has a huge place in our hearts. So if you are so inclined, we're trying to help Caitlin raise her goal. Check out her e-mail below:

Dear friends and family,

When my cousin Amy died of cancer at the age of 22 in October of 2007, I was faced with a deeper perspective on what I wanted to do with my life. She was amazing - when she found out she had cancer, she began to get more involved and inspired people to work toward a cure for cancer in the Relay for Life. I think of her now when Christmas rolls around and the family feels incomplete. I wonder what great things she would be doing right now if she had survived. She really inspired me to try to appreciate everyday I have.

So this year, because of the urging of my friends and in memory of my cousin Amy, I will be participating (as a team captain, no less) in Rock the U, a 26.2 hour dance marathon, to raise money for the
Huntsman Cancer Institute.
I hope you will consider donating, even if it's only a few dollars. I think it's likely that all of us have been touched or will be touched by cancer sometime in our lives. And if you feel like you need to see the results of your hard-earned donation, stop by the University of Utah Union Ballroom on March 27th. I will be busting out the moves.

Step Up to Stop Cancer!
Below is the donation page - it is really easy to donate (and tax-deductable), so please consider it! I need to raise my goal of $500 by March 27th, 2009. Even if you only sponsor me $1 for every hour I dance, it's a measley $26.20. Help me get there and know that you are saving lives. Please contact me by this email address if you have any other questions. Thank you!

Love always,
C

And the Verdict is....

A couple weeks ago, we went to our ultra sound and found out we are having a boy!!! I am freaking a bit because I come from a family of girls. But I'm so excited at the same time to have a little Jason running around.

I hope he is just like his daddy, calm, loving, sincere, hard working, all those things I love about my hubby. I cannot wait to experience this with him. Jason is going to be the best dad ever, he already is. He astounds me every day at how much patience he has with Kylee girl and the love he has for her and she's not even his biological child. He has so much love to give and I can't wait to see his face when this little rugrat is born.

Here are the cute ultra sound pictures....

Busy Making A Baby

Okay Shannan, here is my freaking update. Jason and I just found out we are prego! And so excited. We did not expect it to happen so quickly. I really thought it was going to take awhile. But my mom called me last week (which was the 1 yr. anniversary since Amy passed) and let me know Amy's best friend, Jessica was pregnant and due in June. (Amy's birthday.) So of course I was super jealous! I was happy for her, but so wanted to be pregnant. Well, next week comes along and no period, overwhelming sense of smell, huge boobies, and cravings of mexican food. I took the test Friday morning and it was positive.

Anyway, we've both been very busy with work. I'm super excited about an new job opportunity. I'm still doing real estate and thriving thankfully. It was a huge risk, but it's been worth it. I've learned a lot about myself and my strengths. I just know that this what I want to do and I'm not going to let the economy burst my bubble! I want to run the show one day and own my own brokerage. =)

Kylee started dance at Shannan's studio and loves it! She calls it "balleg". Funny huh? She kills me. I'm so excited to watch her become a big sissy! She is still a little confused about it, but I think she'll come around. I can't believe how smart she is and how grown up she's getting.

And Jason has been hunting ever spare minute he gets. (He's even shot, caught, whatever you call it, 2 ducks!) Which isn't much since he's always out of town. I seriously have the best husband in the world. We just celebrated our 1 yr anniversary at Oktoberfest (yeah, really nice since I was probably prego and totally had some German beer) up at Snowbird. The colors of the trees were awesome! Anyway, back to my awesome husband. I've never seen him so affectionate, and he's the most lovey-dovey guy I've ever dated. You can tell he's so excited. I really think we got pregnant on our anniversary.

Well anyway, that is our update. I'll be better about updating.... I hope.
