Java developers

I'll be getting a Sony Ericsson T610 next week, and I'm really curious about mobile Java. I'm an intermediate J2SE/J2ME programmer, but still wet behind the ears, so to speak, about J2ME. Any heads-ups, or tips (Java OR the T610..)? Thanks in advance. (To let you in on a bit, I've been working on a Java-based LJ client, and when I finally get my T610, I'd like to re-focus my project into J2ME.)

before i waste my time and sink 20 hours into this software project, does anyone know of an already existing version of this software idea...

the idea is to take a directory of emails saved in text format and sort them into folders based on who sent the email. ie a message from john@doe.com named "hey how are you.txt" would be sorted into "\john@doe.com\hey how are you.txt".

i have no problem making this software myself, but i'd rather not reinvent the wheel if this has already been done.. anyone know of something like this?
