Hey all,
I'm sure that this has been asked and answered Long.MAX_VALUE times, but I can't seem to find a good answer anywhere.
Is it possible to play MP3s from Java code without relying on third party apps / libraries? I've heard that JMF makes this possible, but it seems unclear whether this is just on Windows or other platforms from what I can tell (and as I run Linux and OS X, it's not much use to me), and my impression is that it's not particularly easy.
If not, are there any good third party APIs to do this? All I want is very basic functionality, like MP3.play() and MP3.stop(). |
