Hello! Our final assignment for an algorithms class is to implement a probabilistic skip list data structure, which is going well-- except for the bits we need for testing purposes. Specifically, something that will keep track of process time. It doesn't have to be entirely accurate, just consistent, so that when we run the same set of data through twice we get (nearly) the same run time. Suggestions? Most of my programming experience is on mainframes, so anything that requires Windows (or any desktop OS) system knowledge tends to give me a headache.
