This is not a question about the Java language, but it's not completely unrelated.
There is a shortcut for autocompletion in Eclipse: Ctrl-Space. There is also a 'Word completion' command on the edit menu, which has a different behavior, with its own shortcut, Alt-/.
I think Ctrl-Space is more powerful and convenient than the dot-complete, i.e. when you type the period character, you get a list of suggestions to choose from. Is it possible turn that off? |
