Just a survey question

I have a fair amount of programming experience but little Java experience (which is an odd combination, I admit, but it just happen that way).

Now it's time to change that. The school I'll be attending next year (UC Berkeley) really stresses using Eclipse in its Java data structures class. I was wondering if people in this group also like Eclipse, or, if you prefer another development environment. If so, what is that differing environment and why do you prefer it?

("development environment" could be anything; in my newbie state, I've been using the "Compile Java" command in TextPad, which works really well for toy applications, but may not scale very well.)

Thanks for any general comments on the state of the tools; currently I have no one in person to ask.
