java wireless for windows mobile 5.0 phones

My end goal is to use the Java Wireless toolkit for developing a small application on a Windows Mobile phone. I hope i'm correct and that this is the correct softwre.
But in anycase is there a linux version of this? I'd hate to install Windows again just to run and build a open application. Seems ironic.
