Java(Script)
I know how annoying is is to constantly have to explain to people that Java and JavaScript are entirely different things, but JavaScript was named to sound as if it were related to Java in some way.
Be mad at Netscape, not at the people who simply haven't learned the difference between two languages with deceptively similar names.
Also,
an insulting remark about a person's intelligence is farther off-topic than a question about Java.
I've now made the statement in the profile about the two being different languages more prominent, but keep in mind that we should still all be tolerant of and helpful to the newbies. Thank you.
