you are cadetblue
#5F9EA0

Your dominant hues are green and blue. You're smart and you know it, and want to use your power to help people and relate to others. Even though you tend to battle with yourself, you solve other people's conflicts well.

Your saturation level is lower than average - You don't stress out over things and don't understand people who do. Finishing projects may sometimes be a challenge, but you schedule time as you see fit and the important things all happen in the end, even if not everyone sees your grand master plan.

Your outlook on life can be bright or dark, depending on the situation. You are flexible and see things objectively.

Dear Universe,

Are you waiting for something in particular?

Love,
Me xxx

And a quick dating update... because that's the only thing going on in my life lately if you exclude Smeg having hit her head 4 times in 6 days including 2 concussions (wth!); me and little sis bandying ideas about starting up some sort of craft business... at which point I might get around to photoing my jewellery; my house still looking like a bomb site because I've nearly finished the 4th Twilight book (E/J? Do I look like I'm ready for death! + I don't mind a little hair *g*); finally seeing HP6 yesterday (yum to Snape and Me & Smeg were both admiring Ron hee)(+ the film is good, little sis says they missed out loads but it didn't feel like probs cos I haven't read it for a while); we're moving offices tomorrow omg! not that I've really had to do anything bout that yet... and I've probs forgotten something that I'll edit in here --> [empty space] later ;)

Met up with Mr O on Monday for coffee. He was exactly like in email and his photo and as that's something I appreciate in a man (honesty and all) I should probs only meet up with peeps that I fancy from their pic *sigh* So yeah it was fine, but no we won't be seeing each other again. And I'm still thinking through the whole settle/not settle issue :) I'm still getting new emails though so it's all good!

Ooh and the use of the word peeps up there reminds me that I was checking Smeg understood something I'd said the other day, concussion notwithstanding (confusion during concussion? how would we notice!), and I completely unironically said "get me?"... I think I've been watching The Wire too much! She didn't make me promise never to do it again but the look she gave me certainly indicated she hopes I won't *giggle*

*air kisses you all*

That's the question. I just don't have an answer right now...

or are my daughters hormones just very catching?

I am in such a bad mood today! Bit my daughters head off about a trillion times since she's been home. My son got short shrift when he phoned trying to convince me that he should have a contract mobile phone. I pointed out, rather forcefully, that I wasn't paying because he doesn't live with me anymore!

Meh...

turned the telly on; and it switched itself off. Changed the fuse and switched it back on... rinse and repeat. Phone mother. Go shopping. Spend £200 on a new telly. Get home and watch new telly. Like new telly because it doesn't have stupid lines wiggling about at the top of the screen (telly was mother's and she gave it to me when it started getting lines). Don't feel so bad about spending money. Fail to find code to tune the Virgin remote into the telly so I can adjust the volume *sigh* Daughter has one of those all in one remotes that I would be able to use if she could only find the book with the codes in *glares at her* she doesn't need it herself anymore because she finally found her tv remote after about 3 months. Where was it? In a book, under her bed! *gives up* lol

Daughter had short course RE (Religious Ed) GCSE today - she says it went fine and that she answered most questions... which always helps ;) She has listening and reading French tomorrow *wishes her luck*

Son had an apprenticeship interview today which he said went well, tests were a doddle. Now just have to wait a few weeks to find out if he's in *crosses fingers*

And my order of many, many rings for making more chain maille jewellery has been dispatched according to email from shop *bounces* I will get around to taking pics of made jewellery and posting. Promise.

Meh, forgot to iron work clothes for tomorrow *resolves to get up early*

*runs in*

I has not enough time for all the things I wants to do *pouts*

Little Sis is moving back to our hometown in about two weeks (WooHoo!) so we've been spending the weekends at her new house helping. Well, when I say helping - my contribution is to keep her company and provide two teenagers to help amuse her four children. Although I find things too (rope hidden behind boxes; ladder behind back door), and I'm useful at Ikea to bounce design ideas off.

I've been playing with some jump rings and have finished my first byzantine bracelet, yay me! It's made of cheapy cheap jump rings and will last about a week probably but I did it. I also did make some earrings which my son said "Wow!" at, but nobody else noticed/commented. I shall upload pics sometime soon (see first paragraph and the no time thing).

I has to go to hospital on Saturday for another 'procedure' which will be uncomfortable... although maybe not as they are not getting that bloody camera anywhere near me without the use of a sedative first"! (+ who knew that the NHS even did this stuff on the weekend!) I is taking teenage son with me as my responsible adult because nurses don't seem to realise that he is only likkle still. Well 17 now rather than the 16 he was when I was in for the hyst but still not 18/adult quite.

Still haven't watched Primeval from Saturday yet.

There was something else but I casn't remember now. This fact is not surprising as I couldn't remember the word ... it's gone again ... coleslaw! earlier when telling daughter what I was making for dinner. Coleslaw and homemade scotch eggs for those interested.

Hands up

Hands up anyone who is planning on doing all posting over here with, or without, a cross post at LJ?

I ask because if you are I shall change you from my default reading list over there onto the new dth (my current contraction of choice for dreamwidth) peeps reading list so that I do not have to pass over a post which I have already read over here. You will not be defriended over there because it will be easier for me to go and read my dth peeps reading list there to check for any comments that I may be interested in reading on your post which are at LJ. Did that make sense? I pinched the idea from someone lol

In general I will post here with a crosspost to LJ which will have comments enabled for the meantime. This post will not be crossposted to LJ because it has no relevance there.

+ what other contractions have you come across for Dreamwidth?

So far I've seen:
DW - Doctor Who?
DeeWee - sounds like my little sis needs the loo (her nickname is Dee)
Dth - my current fav

++ I will be available for pointing you in direction of how to do something here. I'd stopped doing support over at LJ because 1) I no longer approved of the company as a whole and 2) I hated the very formal style. I think I shall start up again over here, even if only occasionally , if I get the time.

+++ I think I shall have to cut some feeds over here until the Reading Filters are in place *head go explodey from large default Reading Page*

Especially when the parcel that arrives is full of shiny bits to make jewellery with. Which is something that I think I'm going to get back into it (did some in my teen years although mostly earrings) and at the moment what I really want to learn is chain maille so I can make something like this *drools*. In the meantime I will continue making things more like this:

Just as well I'm not convinced that it's going to get really bad because one of the latest confirmed infections is less that 4 miles away from me.

And departing from tradition I'm actually going to use my real name here. Or at least part of it. Well, two letters of it anyways LOL

So, hi! You may, or may not, already know me by another name - I'm hoping if you do you'll recognise me by my icon (which I will shortly upload), but here I shall be Jax because Jax is me. When I'm not 'Muuuuuuummmmm' that is.

ETA: Okay that wasn't the icon I planned to upload but I forgot my default icon over there *points* has my other username on *facepalm* but this one is strangely appropriate.
