Our Dining Room Table

We bought this cute table from a lady on Facebook.
The size is perfect for what we need. We can fit all of us plus room for guests.
Jason went to work on it right away sanding it down and staining it. As he got going, it turned into more of a project than we thought. He had to secure the table and benches better, seal the slats and try to get the top a little more even. He also made my lazy susan to match the table.
It is beautiful. He did such a great job and we have already had so many great family dinners on it.

Brookelin's nap

Brookelin had been having a hard time getting a good night's rest a few weeks ago. She took some medicine to help her sleep one night. She took it at 5:00 in the evening so that it wouldn't make her still sleepy in the morning.
This poor kid. I woke her up with plenty of time to get ready for school. She tried and tried but just couldn't stay awake.
I ended up leaving her home and letting her sleep it off. She finally woke up and got to school around lunch time. She got a really good night's sleep but doesn't ever want to take that stuff again.

Annie's first promposal

Annie will be 16 in just a few more days. Knowing this, she and David thought it would be fun for her first date to be at prom. Prom is 5 days until she turns 16 but we told him he could still ask her and that we'd let her go.

Easter 2018

We had a great Easter this year. On Saturday, we went to a brunch at church. It was fun to be with our friends. They had an egg hunt after we ate.
These are our newly 'adopted' grandparents that we met when we moved to Fruitland. Jim and Darlene. They have been such great anchors for us and so supportive of the kiddos. They just love them.

Brookelin was too cool for pictures with the bunny. Haha!
We were blessed with a little love last week. A friend of mine gave us a gift card for a frozen yogurt place in Ontario. We headed there after school and got a little treat before heading home for chores, homework, etc.
Thankful

Ellie's basketball

Ellie had a lot of fun this winter. She was on a basketball team with several fun girls she goes to school with. They worked hard to make a great team. One of the practice nights was a girl's birthday so they all went for frozen yogurt instead of practice. Last Saturday was their last game. She's excited for next season already.

Monster Jam

We got to go to Monster Jam as a family this weekend.  It is fun to watch all of the trucks flying through the air and doing the tricks they do. Ellie had fun standing on her chair and being a cheerleader for them.
After the show, we went to Sizzler for dinner.
When we came home, we watched the movie Fireproof as a family.

2. Warm days spent outside.
3. Finishing a really good workout.
4. When the laundry is put away.
5. Playing games. I need to do this more often.
6. Music. Any kind, really. I love listening to music.

9. Date nights.
10. Knowing that I'm a loved daughter of God, no matter what.

Icefishing

Jason, Annie, and Brooke went ice fishing. They left really early in the morning and didn't make it home until late. They didn't have any luck with fish but daddy couldn't come home empty handed...
They stopped at Albertson's on the way home and grabbed fish sticks.. Haha!!

Family Updates ... Possible comeback?

So many changes in the last few years. We are now Idaho residents and the kids are all growing like weeds. Jason moved our family up to Idaho when he was offered a job up here. That fell apart shortly after moving. We have been through a few jobs and have gone through some really hard trials.
Thankfully, we have been blessed and have stuck together through some things that have felt like they couldn't get any worse...  God is Good.
Jason and I are both working for places we love.
The kiddos are all doing really well.

Vacation. The End.

This was the best vacation ever.
We relaxed, explored, and relaxed some more.
Finding little critters was everyone's favorite. Except Ellie. She did not like the crabs. They terrified her. I don't think it helped that daddy put one on her foot when she wasn't looking....

Vacation Part 4

Jason and the big girls went out on our pier with their lights and nets late one night.
They were right next to a seal who kept swimming right up against their spot. They were out so late. I think I went to bed around 1:00 and they were still out playing.
Image
J was nice (or smart) enough to let me and the little ones sleep in our bed when they came back in. He was on a bed made out of cushions from the hide a bed.
These three slept all morning until it was time for lunch.
