Halloween part 2

On Halloween night we went with our neighbors, the McDonalds, over to Harveston to trick or treat. They decorated so cool and the boys had a blast filling up their bags with more candy! Halloween gets more and more fun the older the boys get.

Halloween

I don't know how the pictures are going to load, but the one of Zack throwing a fit in the car is about how Halloween went for him. He didn't like to dress up and was un-interested in trick or treating. Well at least at the trunk r treat. Halloween was a little better because he felt like he was just wearing pj's. Andrew and Ethan of course loved trick r treating. And then they ate a ton of candy soon after. 7th heaven for my sugar tooth boys! Steve and Rosane were hilarious in their costume, I loved it!

I am always behind the camera and so this is the only way to get in FRONT of it, and I don't like it so much. What is up with my neck? Oh well, the boys and I were having fun, and that is all I care about. So what if I am getting older? ha!

to describe how I felt when I woke up one Sunday morning and found this. I was speechless, and then I had to grab the camera. I had to do something other then scream or cry. With 8:30 church we always run late and this was just what we needed. Oh well! There are worse things right?

If you think this outfit looks like it is from the 70's, well that is because it is. Jeff wore this outfit when he was Zack's age and I came across it one day and thought I would try to get a picture of Zack in it. It was a little harder than I thought. Zack doesn't like overalls apparently. He looks so much like Jeff I was shocked. He came out looking like me, what happened?! I have to have at least ONE that looks like me right?

NASCAR

We met some friends there at the race and we had a good time hanging out. I have never been to a race before, and I knew it would be loud, but I had NO idea! It was impossible to hear yourself talk, let alone have conversation with anyone else. I had to take Zack out because he was being naughty and he ended up falling asleep. I don't know how he managed that, but he must have been tired. It was fun going to the race, but I honestly don't care if I don't go to one again. Especially with kids. But the kids and Jeff had a good time and that is what counts right?

Ethan's Birthday

Ethan turned 5 in October. We had a fun weekend filled with lots of things to do! Andrew had Ethan's birthday off of school so we headed out to Sea World. One of Ethan's favorite places. Then when we got home Daddy had a present waiting for Ethan. More Geo tracks! His favorite! (oh and I had birthday wrapping paper, but when you leave it to the guy, this is what happens! LOL!)
Then on Saturday Uncle Steve got us tickets to go to the NASCAR race.(pics to follow) We were go go going all weekend long. It was a lot of fun!

TEAM JACOB? or TEAM EDWARD?

I was at my brother's house last Sunday and we were talking about New Moon. I had figured out that I have read Twilight and New Moon around 25 times since August of 2007. Eclipse isn't far behind that tally, and Breaking Dawn hasn't had enough time to allow me to have read it that many times. I was a little surprised at how many times it was!

Okay, so since that time back in 2007 I was a Jacob fan. I loved Jacob, I thought he was better for Bella and I didn't really get on board with Edward, even though it would be nice to have someone adore you like that, until Breaking Dawn. Once he got over himself enough to just be happy with Bella, he annoyed me a little. SO I have always rooted for Jacob.

I kinda sorta forgot about how much I liked Jacob until I watched New Moon play out on the screen. The movie cannot even be compared to Twilight. They need to throw that movie in the trash and do it again. The makeup and special effects were sooooo much better! It was also better because Edward wasn't in it very much, so you didn't have a lot of time to just watch how horrible of an Edward Rob makes. Jacob was unbelievably nice to look at. Even if he is only 17. So it was easier to look past the few scenes that NEVER HAPPENED IN THE BOOK. Like when she slaps Paul and he turns into a werewolf right in front of her to attack her! Yeah right! She breaks her hand doing that to Jacob in Eclipse, why would they add that in? And the fight scene in Italy, that wasn't in the book either, but it was kind of cool. I need to go watch the movie again, so those parts don't surprise me. I liked how they did the passage of time with those months where she was kind of out of it. Very cool.
There is one quote from the movie that I just about died laughing at. No one else laughed at it, probably because it was not very politically correct for me to laugh at, and really I wasn't laughing because I thought it was funny (haha) I was laughing because they just HAD to throw it in there. It is when Bella goes to see Jacob after she figures out he is a werewolf and she still thinks that he is the one killing all the people. She says to him, "Can't you just NOT be a werewolf?" and Jacob responds, "Its not a lifestyle choice Bella, I was born this way!" HA! How many times have we heard that excuse before!

All in all, the movie had some really cheesy moments-like Alice's vision of Bella being a vampire. LAME!-but I will see it again, and I will most likely buy this movie. The werewolf parts were awesome! I didn't know how they were going to pull that off, but it was very cool.

Eclipse comes out June 30, 2010, and that is the end of the movies so far. Stephenie says she doesn't want them to do Breaking Dawn until they can do everything right. There would be some tricky parts in there to create on film, plus all the nakedness with Bella and Edward and Jacob and the werewolves. So it should be interesting to see how they end Eclipse. Will they end it with a wedding? or leave it a cliff hanger? I am excited to find out!


And on a side note as far as movies go, Jeff and I saw Blind Side Friday night and it was GREAT! A great feel-good movie that is a true story! Go see it!

Good Morning! I came on the computer early today so that I could do an update and realized that I haven't downloaded any pictures from October or November yet so I can't! Jeff has the camera, so I am out of luck until he gets home from work.
In the past 2 months, Ethan has turned 5, we had a fun Halloween, and we are looking forward to Thanksgiving in Arizona.
I am also looking forward to New Moon this Friday. I am trying really hard to not get TOO excited for this movie, even though it looks TEN times better than Twilight! I guess if I get to watch Jacob for a couple hours it can't be all bad! LOL! Anyway, I have a couple friends who are looking forward to my review, so I will post that on Friday or Saturday.
And by the way, if you want to come with us, we are going to the 7:30 show on Friday in Temecula.

Shoe Fettish!

Zack is a shoe stealer. If you are missing your shoes and Zack is around, he probably has them. He really loves high heels. I don't know why. Here he is in Stephanie's shoes. It was hilarious.

First day of school

Andrew started 1st grade this year. He loves it! I am hoping that the reason his homework is stuff we did in Kindergarten is just because they are doing a review. Otherwise he is going to be so bored!

He did not like getting sung to at all! He was covering his face and starting to cry. It was funny because this kid always wants attention, and then when he gets it he doesn't like it.
