My life is so boring, LJ. And Neville is learning how doorknobs work. Just what we need, a psychopath cat understanding the mechanics of a doorknob. If only he'd learn to clean, he'd be useful.
Sarah and I have taken to relaxing around the apartment and experimenting with dinner rather than going out much. A lot of it has to do with the fact that we are both doing job things (or well...applying to jobs, doing weird testings, phone interviews and such) and are poor. A lot of it also has to do with the fact that I quit smoking. Again. It's been about two months now but I still really crave a cigarette, especially when out and about. I'll get over it, soon I hope, but in the meantime it seems easier to avoid. I just really fucking loved smoking.
Anyway, food experiments are going well! Besides the slight weight gain (I need to start exercising asap) I get from actually eating now instead of living off nicotine, I am learning that I actually enjoy cooking for the most part. As long as I'm not doing it alone- then it just sucks. We find random recipes we think sound good, vaguely remember then when buying ingredients, then can't find them again when we start to cook so we just toss things together, poke at it, shrug and make something up! It's worked out well for the most part. We've only gotten ill once, and it may have just been a coincidence, we aren't sure.
I have some more actual entries to do soon, full of substance (read: blatant self absorbed diatribes) and what not. I'll get around to those sometime soon.
