Samantha, (Luke's daughter) just chastised me for not keeping up with my blog. So, Samantha, I'm updating. This is a picture of me and Luke at the mall, getting him fitted for his tux for my wedding. And for those of you who were not in attendance, Luke and Elle thought they would be helpful and start opening presents before we were finished with the rest of the ceremony. To this day, I don't think everyone got a Thank You card.

May 18th was PeeWee's 65th birthday! Yes, she is sixty-five years old!!! To celebrate this milestone, the girls and I planned a surprise party for her, inviting 75 of her closest buddies and buddettes. Tara and Grace flew in from Atlanta and Amanda came from The Great White North. After the surprise of the girls, we told her about the upcoming party. Some siblings were afraid the shock of the party might be too much for her..... We had an excellent turn out, from friends that she's known for 30 years, Tara, Elle, Luke and my Cait's kindergarten teacher, friends from church, swimming buddies, etc. Tara, Elle, and Amanda cooked up all kinds of goodies. Amanda is making her a signature quilt. We sent out quilt squares to long distance friends and then had squares at the party for everyone else to sign. We received signatures back from her high school best friend, friends she's known since she was a kid, and friends from almost every state we've lived in, along with siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews, etc. Amanda is going to take it home and assemble it. We will post pictures when it is completed.

This is the latest new knee. Now that Sax has two new knees, he is going to be the bionic man. At least not the SIX MILLION dollar man, just the $150,000.00 dollar man. Recovery is going well, just not as well as the left knee in January. We've only had one naked episode this time and when I asked him where he was going, he said "out to mow the yard". Now I'm sure the neighbors would've enjoyed seeing Sax mow in nothing but compression stockings, but it's really not a pretty picture. Too bad he can't get it wet for 8 weeks. We can begin enjoying the pool and he can bring us drinks, lotion, floaties. He'll make an excellent pool boy.
