BiNkY bAbY...

i tried and tried to get amelia to take a binky for the first few months of her life...and finally after 9 months, she has decided that binkys are kinda cool and fun...what the crap!!! honestly, but it works out perfectly for her first time flying, at least i know she will be sucking on something for take off and landing!

DeCoRaTiNg ThE cHrIsTmAs TrEe....

here we are in the living room, getting ready to start decorating the tree, jason had set it up the night before so that we could decorate when we both got up the next day....amelia was playing with her toys...

until she found the thingy that we roll the christmas lights on for storage purposes...yummy!

amelia loves mickey mouse, and jason loves trains...so i thought what better than to get them an early christmas present...A MICKEY MOUSE CHRISTMAS TRAIN!!! (i know i'm brilliant) amelia only wanted to eat the paper and suceeded, but then posed graciously for a pic with her and daddy's new train!!

when mom and dad weren't looking, the little bugger manages to army crawl over to a pile of garland and proceed to eat it...she was not happy when it was taken away!

patiently watching daddy hook up the lights...yeah right, more like examining the tree staking out which icicle she is going to get ahold of when no one is looking!

this is what the house looks like outside...we are very pleased with how our decorating turned out the first time in this house...we are so excited for christmas!

New Shoes....SORTA!

this girls feet are so fat we can't fit them into normal baby shoes...she's been going without because of this...so i finally found some soft shoes at walmart, they are a size too big for her because she couldn't fit in a 3...if this poor girl doesn't get skinnier feet soon, she's going to be just like aunt dottie when she grows up...wearing shoe boxes! (love you dot!)

but after about 5 mintues she was attempting to chew them off..haha!

Paula Goretsky JR...

everytime we've ever visited PA, we'd all be downstairs relaxing and watching TV...and it never failed that jason and larry (my father in law) would be like "jenny jenny, look at paula!"...sure enough, there she'd be...sleeping peacefully with her mouth wide open!...they are always picking on her about it so when i saw jason sleeping THE EXACT SAME WAY...of course i had to put it on my blog!!..awww sweet revenge...so here's to the open mouth sleeping goretskys...larry you are next, so watch out!! muwahahahahaha!

enter couch saga...

little did we know when we purchased our lovely new home that it would be impossible to get a regular ol' sized couch down into our basement....WHAT THE!!!...jason, andy and i spent a good hour attempting to contort and pivot our couch every way possible trying to get it down there...after all resources were exhausted and there was a ginormous hole in the wall...we gave up! i wish we had pictures of us trying to get it down there...it's almost as good as trying to get the bed into the bedroom...that was 5 people and a much longer story...haha!

ThE bEaRdEd LaDy...

one day while at my granpa's house, i decided to wipe all the snot and drool off of her face without looking (she was on my lap)...and this was the outcome...my sisters and i were rolling! that was either a lot of drool and snot or just a really crappy tissue!

Menthol Bath Time...

when amelia was terribly sick, she got to take a menthol bath pretty much everynight after i discovered the stuff (through my partner at work)!..she absolutely loves baths and water! the bubbles were a double bonus, she'd never had them before! it's hard to tell she's so sick by these pictures!

C o W c A t....

So there has been this cat that likes to hang out in our backyard...and he/she will only come to me, it just runs from everyone else...well i named him "CowCat" because his coloring reminds me of a cow! Don't you agree??... people get a tad confused when i yell from the kitchen "LOOK IT'S COWCAT!!!"

Abby Cadabby + Amelia = FUNNY!

Amelia got an Abby Cadabby doll (from Sesame Street) from my little cousin Abby for my baby shower, and well this is how it all unfolded!!

Apparently she didn't like that Abby Cadabby was still in the box! So I took it out for her....yeah she was just in the mood to cry at the doll I guess, but it was such a fake cry!!! Hilarity ensued!

CuTe HaIr Do!!

She loves laying on our bed and rolling around... plus isn't her hair cute! This is what it looked like after we took out the pigtails, kinda hard to see unless you look really hard you can see the tweakers! I just really liked the look on her face in the first one!

Amelia's first cold...

it was inevitable that it was going to happen sooner or later, but it has finally come!...Amelia is sick!!...she came down with this cold a few days after my grandma passed, and suprisingly enough she does not act as miserable as she sounds...she has soooo much gunk and goop in her throat i just wish that she could spit it out when she coughs...her poor little nose is all plugged up and she has a cough but she's not running a fever thank goodness!...she's a little trooper though and smiles and acts happy for as long as she can and then when she remembers that she's sick she wants mommy!...we got a humidifier and a vick's vapo rub machine that vaporizes into the air to make her breath better and i have been soaking her in a vapor bath every night which is really helping...i know this may sound like the dumbest post, but it's another "first" for me!...my poor girl!

I am standing by the seashore.

John McCain...

Instead of venting on my blog and telling the world how angry I really am with the whole turnout of the election, I've opted just to put a blurb of John McCain's speech in my blog today. His speech moved me last night and really showed us all what a truly great man he is, not only in his professional life, but in his personal life as well. I've adored John McCain for a long time, and I am absolutely saddened that this man that I look up to soo much will not be my next President. I hope that the majority of America has not made a damning choice for the rest of us. I hope one day I can be as strong of a person as John McCain is. I hope you get out of this excerpt what I have. Halloween 2008...

The police department was doing the trunk or treat this year at the mall and I was all set to take Amelia and show her off (and score free candy for myself of course)...so I put her down for a nap at about 4 thinking that she would be up in time to go at 5...she hasn't been napping well for the past week or so...but that little turd napped until 6:30!! By the time she got up I was already getting ready for work because I switched shifts with Andrea so she could take her kiddies trick or treating....so she got dressed up and helped Grammie pass out candy...I don't think anyone took a picture of her. Oh well! She looks freakin cute as a cheerleader! As I have been looking at some of my friends halloween pictures on Facebook and such, I'm rather disgusted at what my girl friends have worn as costumes...I've really lost a lot of respect for some people.. to think that just because you can dress however you want for one day, doesn't mean that you need to wear hardly anything at all and look like a total street walker...I threw up in my mouth a little bit!
