Island Park

Jason's parents had gone up camping the second week in July. So on the 11th we decided to go up for the day and visit. We hadn't done any camping, because our trailer is too small with Aadynn, so we were very excited to go and have a mini camping day trip. Jason took a half day from work and got off at 10:00, and we headed up. We had lunch and dinner with his parents, threw rocks in the water and explored the campground. It was so fun, and a great way to spend the day!

I forgot to mention that while we were all visiting Aadynn had fallen asleep so I put her in the hammock on a towel. As we're talking I look over and see Asher heading for the hammock, (him and Grandma had been putting his ball in it and bouncing it around earlier) I didn't have any shoes on but could see him heading over there with his ball, so I took off as fast as could, trying to yell at him "No!". Before I can get there, he grabs the side of the hammock and pulls down. Then just stands there and watches as Aadynn rolls very slowly over and over (like "What is she doing?"), and then falls on the ground. All I can say is someone had to be watching out for her, because somehow her towel that she was laying on fell to the ground first, so that's what she landed on and she only ended up falling about four inches from when she left the hammock to when she hit the towel. She only cried for about two seconds before I finally reached her, and then was completely fine! She's one tough cookie!

Jason's NEW Job!

So I just realized that with all of the excitment of Aadynn's birth I don't think I've put on here that right about the same time Jason got a new job! He still works for CenturyLink but now instead of being a trainer, he is a coach. And instead of going to the Center every day, he works from our basement! We LOVE having him home, especially in the summer. He gets to come upstairs and visit on all his breaks and for lunch, and the Best part is, he's working on east coast time! He goes into work anywhere from 6:00-8:00 in the morning, (depending on whether he wants to sleep in) and gets done anywhere from 3:00 (yes three in the afternoon!) -5:00. Sometimes 6:00 on the week he has to close, but that is still way better than 8:00 at night. We took full advantage this summer and were able to go do some really fun things, during the week. It's been a little adjustment but one that we are not complaining about in the least!

Berrett Reunion

The Berrett Reunion was July 7 and as always was so fun to see everyone. Brandon and Angie were home from Mexico and it was so nice to be able to see them. The day was filled with lot of visiting, eating and of course water balloons and some volleyball! I was so bad, and didn't get any pictures myself, so I stole these ones from my niece. ;) Thanks Allie!

Fourth of July '12

We did the usual on the fourth. Menan Parade, IF fireworks. This year we did go to Ron and Marsha's for lunch. They have a big BBQ every year, but this was the first time we had gone. It was lots of fun. Ron even has a bunch of barrel things that all attach to each other and are pulled behind the four-wheeler. The kids all had lots of fun riding in them. Asher only made it about a half a trip around the driveway before he was done though. After we ate, we headed home to get our chairs and stuff for the fireworks in IF. I was so bad this year about getting pictures. But we had lots of fun, and I can't wait until next year!

We had brought some pops, and Asher always wanted to have at least one of each of these open. Then he would take a drink from each one every time he wanted a drink.

Aadynn's Day

We blessed Aadynn on July 1. She was such a good little girl and was mostly quiet during the blessing, and didn't cry at all. I am so grateful that Jason is able to give our children blessings, and am so proud of the wonderful blessings he has given both of our children. I am also grateful for the family that showed came to support us. It really means so much that they came especially since I know they have other things going on, (especially in the summer) but to put that aside for us, really means a lot.
These are some pictures that Jason's sister Mindy took of Aadynn a couple of weeks after her actual blessing.

These pictures make me a little mad. Apparently Asher had gotten the camera and gotten his finger prints all over the lens, and I did know until I went to look at the pictures later. :( So there is a "fuzzy" part in all the pictures

Grandpa Jorgenson

Jason's Grandpa Jorgenson passed away the end of June. We were privileged to be able to visit with him, and introduce him to his newest great-granddaughter a couple of days before he passed. He was such an amazing man, and I am so grateful for the chance I had to know him. He is truly missed.

Happy Daddy's Day!

I don't know how to express how happy I am for Jason in my life! He is the most AMAZING husband and father! He has recently (Juneish 10th) started a new job. He is still at the same company but his job title has changed from trainer to coach. Coach meaning he is over a group of people who take calls. But the best part of his new job? He gets to do it from HOME!!! It has been so wonderful and such a blessing to get to see him more often, and the fact that he usually gets off at 3 or 5:30/6:00 at the latest, when before it was almost 8:00 every night has been the best part of summer! I actually had someone ask me if I was enjoying it, or if I was ready to kill him, I imediately said "I LOVE it!" I am truly grateful for how hard he works for our family, so that I can have the privilege of staying home with our kids. It means more to me then he will probably ever know. So here is to Jason, I hope he had a wonderful Father's Day!
