Food & Fitness

We have been focusing more attention on exercising and eating healthier. I think Titan has enjoyed it most of all. He loves to assist me in the kitchen. One day while cutting up celery he decided it would be funner to put the celery in a dish of water with food coloring. He enjoyed himself ... and I was able to finish cooking dinner. Win-Win.

We have also enjoyed exercising together. He especially likes to do ZUMBA with me. One night Jeff was doing an ab section of P90X and Titan was right there doing it with him. It was so cute! Needless to say I did not join along- I was too busy watching Titan and enjoying all his facial expressions.  It is so adorable when he tells me - "Mom look at me. I am getting big muscles"

Imagination & Mud!

The past month has flew by..... time has a way of doing that. Titan has started to really LOVE playing with other kids. Almost every night he asks me if he can play with Thomas tomorrow. Titan looks up to Thomas so much and they have such fun playing together. I love watching them play. They have huge imaginations and are constantly making up new games to play and pretend. Our house has been a jungle, lions den, rocket, dragon nest, viking ship, zoo... the list goes on and on.

Image

That imagination has lead to many enjoyable experiences. Including- Taking the sticks out of my decorative vase and sticking them in the holes (the ones where the screws are) in his crib.

Image

This has less to do with imagination and more to do with being 100% boy and seeing a mud puddle. He was having a blast jumping in this mud puddle and watching it splash all over his clothes.... he was less exctied when he splashed himself in the face. There is something exhilirating about landing in a puddle of muc and feeling it squish everywhere, no matter what age you are. These are the joys of my life! Thank you Titan for reminding me to focus on these simple treasures.

Ok I can tell I have not blogged for a long time I can't figure out how to rotate the pictures!

Short update on our day to day. I am still working full time as a home health and hospice nurse. Jeff is a busy man working for the UHP and freightliner and doing side mechanic jobs in our garage. Titan is growing like a weed! I can not believe he is already 2 years old! We love our new home and have been here for year now. Here are some randome pics to share.

This is his sad face when he was told he needed to share his new truck! Little stinker!

Titan got this zhu-zhu pet from grandma Anderson and he loves it! It is named spotie and he carries it around everywhere. One day he was hugging it and told me. "Mom this is my friend. He loves me. He is so cute huh mom" It makes my day to hear him say things like that!

Long awaited update!

Wow it has been quite awhile since I have posted! I would like to first say what a beautiful day it is! Our family is doing awesome. Since I posted last we have moved in with my parents because Jeff and I both have jobs in Tooele now. We are just waiting for our house in NSL to sell (so if you know anyone who wants to purchase a very cute 3 bedroom home in an amazing location in NSL let me know:)) I am so grateful to have such wonderful parents to stay with so that we don't have to pay rent and our mortgage or commute everyday. Thanks mom and dad! It is so nice to be closer to familay I have really enjoyed it. I love being able to see my grandma's more often and be around for family events... also it is nice to have so many babysitters so close and available!. So many blessings.

Titan is doing great. He just gets cuter and cuter. He pulls himself up on things and crawls on everything he can reach. He is getting very brave and walking down the banister. I am afraid he is going to be walking on his own pretty soon and then Iwill really have to watch out! He is so fast! He loves to EAT..... as long as it is grown up food and not his baby food. It is so cute how he gums everything. So far he doesn't have any teeth but he would really like some. The other day my grandma was holding him and eating some pizza and he just reached up and grabbed it and shoved it in his mouth. We were all laughing so much. The down side is he also puts nasty things in his mouth... like a handful of dirt and rocks.... luckily he threw that up on his own in about 30 seconds. So much learning I pray I can keep up.

Lastly we had 2 new additions to our family ...... 2 black lab puppies. A boy and a girl. There names are Tiger and Lily. They are outside only dogs thank goodness. I really don't think I could handle three babies! We are enjoying spending time with them outside and Jeff is doing a great job training them. Titan loves them, if I put him on the grass he pats his legs to call them to him. They are always attempting to kiss his face (which I personally think is gross) but he just laughs. Oh the little things that bring such joy!

Love and light to all, may peace and joy encompass you! We are going camping this weekend when we get back I will post some pictures.

Well it has been awhile since I have posted! How time flies! Titan is 6 months old now. I can't believe how fast it has gone. He can roll over both directions, although he much better at rolling from his back to his stomach. He can sit up on his own for about a minute.... and he is pretty proud of himself when he does that! He is making lots of new noises, he is a jabber box and I love listening to him. He is starting to eat baby food and rice cereal more now. So far squash and pears seem to be his favorites. I have learned that carrots stain faces! Anyways, we are all doing great. We are going to be putting our house up for sale soon so that we can move closer to family. I am really looking forward to that and am putting it out there that we will find the perfect people to buy our home... and that it will happen quickly:) A friend came and took these pics. I loved all of them so I had to post them all. Thanks Britt! He is such a drooler~

3rd Anniversary!

Image
Jeff and I celebrated our third wedding anniversary this week. I can't believe it has been three years already. To celebrate Titan had his first sleepover at Grammy Ronda's and Jeff and I had a night on the town. (okay we only stayed out until 9:30 so I was feeling pretty lame but I couldn't pass up prime sleeping time now could I?) We did go to Rodizio Grill for dinner it was really yummy. Thanks babe for an amazing 3 years. You are the best!

Things we LOVE.......

ImageRelaxing with daddy!
ImageAvoiding smiling whenever mom gets out the camera!
ImageStanding up... He thinks he is such a big boy!

ImageThis toy that great grandma Viv gave him for Christmas.
ImageJeff is such a great dad. He puts Titan in this carrier and lugs him around while he assists me with house work. Titan loves being with his dad... and sucking on it. He drools so much lately!
Image
ImageThis is a toy cow that TJ loves to eat. He also enjoys talking to it. It is so cute to hear all the new baby words/ sounds he makes. I love listening to him, especially when he doesn't know I am.
ImageHe also really likes to watch TV... I know not the greatest habit to get in but it really keeps him entertained. He can care less about his toys if the TV is on.
ImageThis bumpo was the greatest invention. He loves to sit up. I could only find a pink one... so he is getting in touch with his feminine side early.
