Awesome Purchases vol. 2
I've bought a lot of things in my life. Some things ended up sucking, others were OK but I probably would not have bought them again. Then, every once in a while, I bought something that was almost life changing. Something that I would buy over and over again if I had the chance.
In the interest in finding other great things and helping out people who might benefit from similar purchases, I've decided to examine my day to day and pick out things that I really like.
Volume 2: Blender Bottle
I got my first Blue Blender Bottle in Australia. My friend Jack and I went to a GNC to check out the protein available and saw these bottles. We decided they looked pretty cool, so we each got one for ~$20AUD. That was in Sept. 2007. I love Blender Bottles -- they're absolutely fantastic. The flip top locks very securely so you never have to worry about leaks or spills. When I'm at the gym I'll drop my bottle to the floor or throw it into a corner and it has never opened.
Blender Bottle works off the idea of the whisk, a kitchen tool known for its great dispersing abilities. When using it as a water bottle, I take the whisking ball out, but when I use it to make a protein shake the BlenderBall is a necessity. Put the ball in the bottle, add water or milk, and then put your powder over the top. Close and shake for about 15 seconds and your powder is completely dispersed! No more lumps and no more screens to clean. The Blender Bottle is entirely dishwasher safe.
Although I've never used it in this manner, the Blender Bottle is the perfect kitchen tool for scrambling eggs, or mixing up (and pouring) pancake batter. I've also read reviews of people using them to make their own salad dressings (it was also featured in Reader's Digest).
I brought my bottle everywhere. Then, when I was just recently down in Miami for homecoming, I accidentally left it there! I was really angry, especially when I didn't have water on the plane ride home. When I got back, I ordered 3 more -- A black one, a blue one (replacement =[ ) and an orange one. I keep one at work, one by my computer at home, and one for general use. They also make mini's, but I don't really have any use for those. At $6 a piece and free ship, there's no reason not to try these out.

Awesome Purchases vol. 1
I've bought a lot of things in my life. Some things ended up sucking, others were OK but I probably would not have bought them again. Then, every once in a while, I bought something that was almost life changing. Something that I would buy over and over again if I had the chance.

Volume 1: Imak Ergobeads Wrist Cushion

This little bag of beads is freakin amazing, seriously. I spend a lot of time at the computer, either working, playing video games, or playing poker. After a few hours my right wrist would always get sore or uncomfortable. Not anymore! This wrist rest provides a nice, soft barrier between my wrist and my glass desk at home, and has beads on the inside that move with you and flow around to accommodate any task. The cushion is so good that within a week of getting it I had to buy a second one to have on my desk at work.
It's made of light fabric which doesn't stick to you in any way (can't say that about the gel-type cushions), and is even washable! It also doubles as a great stress reliever -- I'm constantly squeezing it or tossing it around while watching a movie on my home computer or when I'm on a conference call at work.
The wrist cushion is available in gray and black. I have the gray version as I didn't have a need for the 'no-slip' bottom advertised on the black version, and my local Staples only had gray. Imak also makes a longer cushion for keyboard use.

Update: That Didn't Last Long
From here:
Can't say I didn't see this coming..
A week after the Whopper Sacrifice application made waves for its creative (and aggressive) use of Facebook friend removals as a way to spread the application, Facebook has forced it to disable the app’s functionality, according to the developer.
Facebook has clarified that it has not shut the app down - it still exists - but rather it has required the developer to remove its functionality for violating “users’ expectations of privacy.” Normally, no notification is sent when a user removes a friend on Facebook. However, the Whopper Sacrifice application sent a notification to the friend being removed letting them know they were being “sacrificed for a Whopper” before finalizing the removal.
Can't say I didn't see this coming..

Burger King Hates Facebook?
Was originally going to title this post 'Burger King has beef with facebook?' but I figured I'd save you the stupid pun.
Burger King is running a weird promo where you add their application to your facebook page, then delete 10 friends from your facebook account to get a free whopper. I don't understand what the point of this, unless BK specifically has something against facebook?
Thoughts?

Hi :)
Hey guys. I expect that I'll be back to writing pretty soon. I'm starting to read some blogs again (as in .. starting about 10 minutes ago) and I've gotten inspired!
Until I get all my thoughts together and work out what I'm going to write.. check out this sick sick graph for a July month of a HSNL baller.
