The Justice Network of Tarrant County
Welcome to our website!
Compassion moves us to ACT.
The Justice Network of Tarrant County (JNTC) launched in February 2023. We are structured around eight ACTION teams, all of which are dedicated to promoting fairness and equity for everyone in Tarrant County. Learn about each Action Team in more detail below.
The People's Commissioners Court ensures that we are Silenced No More
In the Fall of 2025 we collaborated with two of our partner organizations to give shape to the establishment of the People’s Commissioners Court (PCC). Conceived by Alexander Montalvo of Tarrant4Change, the PCC was launched as a response to the Tarrant County Commissioners Court’s decision to reduce its public meeting schedule to just once a month. Along the Alex, members of the Justice Network and Indivisible TX 12 meet each month to make sure that the people of this county have a forum in which positive change for ALL can be created and the peoples’ voices are Silenced No More.

Action Teams
Jail & Criminal Justice Reform
This action team advocates tirelessly for an end to the scandalously high number of deaths in the Tarrant County Jail. Among other reforms, the team also seeks to decrease the number of people incarcerated, especially those with a mental health or I/DD concern, increase the county’s investment in community services, end cash bail and pretrial detention, and improve training of detention officers.
Environmental Justice
Our Environmental Justice action team works to ensure that the most vulnerable communities in Tarrant County have access to clean air and water, and that they are not unfairly targeted for dangerous pollution.
Juvenile Justice
Our team advocates for prioritizing the well-being and rehabilitation of youth. We speak out on the benefits of community-based solutions that provide alternatives to incarceration while also fostering accountability.
LGBTQ+ Equality
We advocate for the equal rights of all LGBTQ+ persons, and we seek to amplify LGBTQ+ voices and stories. We also provide inclusive, affirming, and celebratory interfaith services, educational opportunities, programs, and resources that uplift and support the LGBTQ+ community in Fort Worth and Tarrant County.
Reducing Gun Violence
Our team is dedicated to reducing gun violence and promoting gun safety. We focus on actions that support the enactment of gun safety laws in Texas, and we advocate for voluntary buyback programs, particularly for firearms designed for mass killings.
Voting Rights
Supporting Public Education Advocacy
Immigrant Justice
The Immigrant Justice Action Team advocates for immigration reform and an end to systems of oppression in solidarity and collaboration with organizations and affected communities.
Justice in Action –
What our community says
“History is not the past. It is the present. We carry our history with us. We are our history. If we pretend otherwise, we are literally criminals....I attest to this: the world is not white; it never was white, cannot be white. White is a metaphor for power, and that is simply a way of describing Chase Manhattan Bank.” (James Baldwin)
