Another two weeks have passed here at the Staley house and they have been filled with fun, adventure and a little bit of a set back.
Tag and Daddy at Lowe's - Watching these two together makes my heart beat a little fast. Jason is seriously THE BEST daddy! He loves Tag so much and they completely best friends!
Playing with the "tractors" (lawn movers) at Lowe's!
I have been trying to work out more lately and have been lucky enough to have some awesome mommy friends to help keep me motivated!
One evening while Jason was at work I had a meeting for work as well ... lucky for me I have THE BEST JOB EVER and get to do it all from the comfort of our home! Tag man was a trooper and after being loaded up with treats he snuggled on the couch and watched a show so that I could pay attention to my meeting!
Speaking of my job have I mentioned how much fun it is? I get to work with the MOST amazing girls ever and everything we do is always so positive! In a world with so much negative I love that my job is focused on not only bettering my marriage but trying to help others as well! Our mission statement is:
"We are wives, mothers, sisters, and friends who strive to enrich marriages everywhere. We want to celebrate the gift of marriage while inspiring others to do the same. It is our goal to provide creative, inexpensive, and innovative dating ideas that will bring joy, fun, and excitement back into the relationship. We encourage all married men and women to take a conscious and proactive approach to investing in their spouse. By putting our spouses first, we are taken back to the simple magic of being head over heels in love again. We desire to help make lasting marriages, which in return will create everlasting families."

Making himself lunch! Haha I think that we have a chef on our hands!
Tag was in the pantry one evening while I was in the half bath downstairs and hr dropped one of glass canning jars. I heard it break and came ripping out of the bathroom as fast as I could to see him standing in the middle of a a pile of glass. Luckily the noise scared him enough that he hadn't moved and I was able to scoop him up before he cut himself!
Oh my little dare devil!
Tag has discovered the light switch in his room and if he reaches as far as he can and stretches his arm he is able to turn it on and off from his crib. Luckily his room has a fan so I can pull the light off there basically disconnecting the switch...otherwise he would turn the light on in the middle of the night haha!
One year, I am still having a hard time believing that it has been a year since Trav passed away! In his memory and to honor him this year everyone did random acts of kindness. Tag and I (since Jason was at work) went and bought a bunch of 2-packs from The Sugar Cookie in town and handed them out to random people at the hospital that looked like they could use a smile. It was a fun evening and the perfect way to remember a great man!
Tag is such a good "helper" these days and wants to be a part of everything! Jason was vacuuming one day and he was insistent on helping out!
Here is another task that this boy insists on doing himself. He loves to do the buckles on his highchair and the chest clip on his car seat as well!
Mr. Independent!
Another favorite these days is running up and down the hall! He stands at the carpet and says "Set,GO!" and takes off towards the door! He then does the same thing running back towards the living room, "set, GO!" Love this crazy kiddo!
Random picture but Tag's hair has lightened up a ton lately!
I got a new camera and have been trying it out a little. I have SO much to learn but it has been fun to experiment a little!
Toy Story would play at our hours from sun up til sun down and every hour of the day if I would let him! He laughs at the funny parts and screams at the scary parts, it makes me laugh that he can really kind of understand it!
Pillow bed in mommy and daddy's room while they pack for Vegas.
Such a good helper!
Jason and I had our first full night away from Tag. Leisha was kind enough to come to St. George and watch Tag so Jason and I could go to Vegas for a night. We had SO much fun, but possibly missed Tag just as much! We got to Vegas about 5:00 and ate dinner at a new favoite - Buddy V's! It was delicious!!
Yum!!
Our next stop was Wicked! The show was AMAZING!!
After the show we walked around the strip for a while and just enjoyed being together!!
This is a picture of us in the Venetian - of all the times we have been to Vegas apparently we have never managed to go to the Venetian while with Jason!
Goofy picture of me but we had to take a picture outside of this restaurant that we stumbled on to....can you tell that we missed our little buddy?!
Late night Sprinkles cupcakes~!! YUM!
The next morning we stopped at the North Outlets on our way out of town to shop a little and found this fun surprise for Tag. He LOVES Buzz and was pretty excited about it!!
I think that we play with Buzz almost 24/7 these days! He's obsessed!
Playing at the doctor's office.
Hide and seek! Tag's favorite new place to "hide" is in the lazy-susan.
I spy some cute little piggy toes!
Saturday the 18th Jason was at work, I had Tag all dressed for bed and was reading him his bedtime story when all of the sudden I remembered that I was supposed to feed the missionaries the next day!! Ahh!! I needed to run to the grocery store so Tag and I jumped in the car and headed to the store, it was late (mind you late at our house these days is about 9:00) and Tag was tired so I decided that he could ride in the "beep beep" as he calls it!

About two weeks ago while Jason was at work I was playing with Tag and he was "chasing" me I started to run up the stairs and looked behind me to see if he was following and somehow missed a stair! I fell pretty hard and hurt my knee, foot and wrist. I felt pretty silly and pretty broken for a few days but my knee and wrist got better pretty quickly. My foot on the other hand still hurt and if anything, was just getting worse/more sore. We finally decided that it was still hurting enough that I should probably get it checked. Monday the 20th I went to the doctor and about 3 hours later left with some not so fun new accessories. X-rays showed that my foot was in fact broken and as a result I needed to be in a walking boot for the next 6 weeks and crutches for the first 3 of those 6. I was somewhat sure that it was broken when I went in just because of how it felt and that it hadn't gotten any better so I had sort of come to terms with the fact that I was going to be in a walking boot. I was however NOT AT ALL prepared for crutches. Having a toddler + being on crutches don't really mesh all that well and as a result we are pretty much home bound whenever Jason is at work or school (which lets be honest is 90% of the time!) Tag and I have watched a few extra movies, done some crafts and played trying to pass the time... we are about 4 days in to the 3 weeks so check back then to see if I have gone completely stir crazy yet!

This is a really bad picture because of the glare on the phone/computer screen but if you look at my second toe from the left there is a fracture there. The doctor said I was lucky that it wasn't displaced but because it was fractured all the way through that if I were to bump it too hard that the bone would really easily displace. Hence why I am in a walking boot until it heals.
Jason snapped this picture of me leaving the doctors office....dang crutches! haha
We ran to the grocery store after the doctor's office quick and I was feeling a bit blue so we decided to grab a doughnut from the bakery as a treat. Tag was a fan of his and made a HUGE mess!
YUM!
Jason and Tag playing in his room one afternoon. So sweet.
Too many broken bones in this family for my liking! Ezzy also joined the gimpy club this week. Poor Kiddo broke his leg and is NOT such a fan of his cast.
.....Some of my Halloween crafting attempting to pass the time at home.
Tag man painting for the first time. He LOVED it but tried to eat the paints as much as paint on the paper with them.
Sneaky little man!
Helping mommy pick up by putting all of the pillows and blankets onto the couch for me.
All in all it has been a great two weeks, we have had little set backs but we are blessed beyond measure and are so grateful for all that we have!
