Happy Halloween

Summer was not a fan of Halloween this year. She did not want to stand by this "scary pumpkin" and didn't want to go trick or treating because everything was "scary" to her. Even Owen was scary to her in his transformer "BumbleBee" costume. She did like being a giraffe though-once she put her costume, she didn't want to take it off. She liked to check herself out in the mirror. Sophi started out our ward trunk or treat as a princess, but liked being Jesse from Toy Story 2 better. (I bought it for $9 for Summer but it was too big for her) Sophi loved being a cow girl. Owen and Sophi had a fun night trick or treating and playing with their cousins.

Back to School

I cannot believe how fast this month has gone by. I started my second year of pharmacy school and work 20 hours a week at the hospital-I love both, but wish I had more time to be a mom. Owen is in first grade and we are working on him not being the school bully. He loves to ride his bike and play with cars. Sophi is in preschool 3 days a week and ballet and loves them both. She can entertain herself for hours with a pencil and paper. Summer is on the go all the time and cracking us up with the things she learns to say and do. Her newest thing is when she sees anyone drinking, she says "CocaCola". We all love playing outside and going for walks together. The kids love to go to Cabelas too so Joel loves that. He has had a lot of work lately too and, unfortunately, has not had the time to go hunting yet this year. Life is busy but really good. Things will slow down eventually...Right?

moab, fishing, and working

While hiking near Moab, we got caught in a rain storm. Sophi didn't like getting wet-she was cold but the rest of us loved it.

Owen went to work with his dad and walked around all day cleaning up garbage. We were so proud of him for working so hard. Then they went fishing at Strawberry and Owen caught the only fish.

Drive In

Instead of making a fast (one day) trip to the Barton reunion, we decided to stay home and have some fun around here. We took the kids to the drive in movie. We had a blast but let me save you the torture of seeing the new Disney movie "G-Force". It was actually worse than all of Sophi's Barbie movies. Harry Potter was the double feature, which I loved-especially because the kids had fallen asleep by then. Then we camped out at Johnson's Mountain that night which sounds like fun but Summer was up all night (which means so were Joel and I) and our other two kids wet their beds (unusual). It was an adventure though. We spent the rest of the day trying to get Joel a new cell phone and weeding our gardens. It was a fun weekend. I really do love my days off with my family!!

JOEL TOOK US TO A REAL SALT LAKE GAME. WE HAD A BLAST.
