Slacking...

Well, I meant to update this more often about what I do in my workouts. Obviously, I haven't been doing that. Tonight, I jogged 2 laps, did a warm up, 2 more laps, 20 pushups/ 35 crunches/ 45 second plank, 2 more laps, 20 pushups/ 40 crunches/ 45 second plank, 2 laps, 20 pushups/ 40 crunches/ plank, 2 laps, 15 pushups/ 40 crunches/ plank and 2 final laps. Let me just tell you that I am soo exhausted!! And hungry! I haven't eaten since 1:30pm. I just had a turkey and provolone sandwich with a string cheese. I might eat more in a little bit. They also weighed me today and I officially weigh 156.4. I'm so excited! I saw some friends on the track tonight and they told me that I look great! It was an awesome end to the day!

Thoughts on working out

Well this is the end of week two of my workout/fitness plan. Last week I worked out tuesday, thursday and saturday. This week, I worked out on monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday and tonight! I'll probably do something tomorrow as well. As far as I can tell, I've lost 1 pound. I have been using this free program on the internet called My Fitness Pal. com. It can track how many calories you eat and burn during a workout. So far it puts me at a 1200 calorie diet but when I work out, I get those calories to eat too. I've got some great trainers and they sure work me hard. We do lots of different things to get my heart rate up. Last week, I was so sore and tired after every workout. I can jog one whole lap on the indoor track at the BYU-I center. I have done more jogging in the last 2 weeks than I have in my whole life it seems LOL!! Anyway, I am loving working out. I feel better and I can push myself farther each time. I always feeling like dying during but after it is pretty great! Well, that's all for now! Thanks for all of your support!

Assessment

On Friday, I had my assessment for my weight loss/diet program. They check my pulse and blood pressure, weight, height, skin fold test, how many curl ups(crunches) I could do in a minute, how many push ups I could do, sit and reach test, they had me lift weights to see how much I could do and they had me walk/jog on the treadmill for about 10 minutes. I had a great pulse and blood pressure. Both were normal and healthy. I currently weigh 162.3 pounds and I am 5'4". I'm not sure what the skin fold test means so yeah... I could do about 50 curl ups in a minute. I did 15 push ups and I think I got to 13 on my sit and reach. Not sure if that was in cm or in. I started with the bar for bench pressing and they added on weight. I got to 75 pounds and I didn't think I could lift anything higher than that. They were all impressed. I did well on my walk/jog thing. I got to the third level but I don't know what that means. I'm feeling really optimistic about doing this. We have one more test to do before we can really get started. They need to check my cholesterol and other things by a finger stick. I think I'm going to be working out about 2-3 times a week. My goal is to lose 15 or more pounds and to just be more healthy. I think a lot of my health problems can be solved through a better diet and exercise. I'm also really hoping that this will help Ricky and I get pregnant.

Speaking of Ricky and I, we are going great. We are still living with his parents and we aren't sure when that will change. It is helping us both to save money. Ricky is trying to get back in to BYU-I so he can go into construction management. Hopefully, he will start in the fall. If Applebee's won't work with his school schedule then we will deal with that. I am still loving working at the elementary school. We had one kid move the other day so things will be a little different with this child gone. It will still be fun with the kids. They say the funniest things sometimes. Hopefully life is going great for those of you who read this! Thanks for your love and support! Ciao!

Something new

I haven't posted in a really long time. I wanted to share that I'm going to be starting an exercise/diet program this week. One of the girls from my old ward is in the exercise science program here at school. For an assignment, her group needs to train and help me to get in shape. I hope to lose 10-15 lbs by the end (anymore would be awesome!) and one of their goals for me to complete a 5k. I hope to run some of it. I'm very excited to get started! Hopefully, I will be able to let you all know how it is going and what I'm doing.

Oh December!

I can't believe it's December already!! With that said, I can't believe there isn't snow on the ground. Ricky and I are all moved in with his parents. We still have a little unpacking left to do. With December, comes Christmas. I am started to get worried about Christmas presents. What am I going to get everyone?? I think I have a good idea of what I'm getting most people. I have no idea what to get Ricky. He always says, "I don't want/need anything". I just roll my eyes at him. He'll get me something awesome and I'll just get him something lame like a video game. (Don't worry he doesn't read my blog...) Anyway, I have no idea what everyone else will get him. I don't think I gave good ideas. Ricky's birthday is on Monday and all I'm getting him is a card. He doesn't want anything. What a goofy goober. Anyway, I should probably do something worth while today. Thanks for reading!

Packing

It is a very bizarre thing packing. Tonight, I packed up most of my clothes and got rid of some (some trash and some for DI). It is a little weird knowing that in about 2 weeks we are going to be living with Ricky's parents. There is still a ton more that we have to pack and I'm not sure where it is all going to go in their house but I'm sure we will make it work. Why do we have to have so much stuff??

Dilemma

Hey friends! I'm looking for some advice. I went to the doctor yesterday for a follicle scan. Basically, they used an ultrasound to check out my ovaries to see what was going on. The physicians assistant thought that it might be cysts from my PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) so she had another doctor look at the scans. This doctor is also an infertility specialist. He recommends that I take birth control for 3 months to get rid of this cysts and then go back on the femara. I don't really want to take birth control because it makes getting pregnant MUCH harder (impossible!!!). Should I take it anyway? Should I just ignore what the doctor thinks? Please help!!
