Lame

Sorry. I am lame. I don't know how to attach a video to a post. I tried doing it from my computer and also from the youtube address. Can anyone help me!!?!?!?!?!?!

So Lily is now 4 months old! She doesn't scream when on tummy time now! She does very well. She's been rolling from her tummy to her back and is now trying to roll from her back to her tummy. She almost did it today! She loves sucking her fingers so much that she gags herself sometimes. Not so cute if she has just finished eating!

Her favorite place in the house? Her changing table. She just comes alive whenever we place her on it. It is so funny!

Her yucky yucky cradle cap is finally gone! I love Cetaphil lotion and hydrocortisone cream!

She is just a cutie! I will post more pictures later.

NEWS THOUGH! We just got back from Virginia for the custody hearing for JP's daughter, Gaela. We won! Well, we like to say Gaela really won. It was an amazing experience and we know the Lord's hand was involved. We are so grateful to him and all of you who prayed and supported us. She is adjusting just great. We will wait and see if her mother appeals but for now we are enjoying having her with us.

Let's say though that I am sooo tired! But I guess I can sleep when I die...but then again I guess I won't be sleeping then either! hahahaha

And for all of you who want a good laugh...I just took down my Christmas Tree yesterday! I was so busy with the baby and getting ready for Virginia and everything, it wasn't on the top of my priority list. Then a week before we left for Virginia JP suggested we just keep it up encase we won and Gaela came back. Then we could have a mini-Christmas with her. So that's that story.

We were so lucky and were able to catch on video Lily's first real laugh episode. This was taken Friday night. The picture is a drawing Gaela did and has Hello Kitty stickers and other doodleings. We can't figure out why she likes it but she does. She has been staring and smiling at it since she was born. Go figure...

Lilybelle

Well she is here. Getting Lily here was quite a process. It's a long story so the short telling is this...went in at 7pm on Monday Oct 12 to be induced...She was born Tuesday Oct 13 at 7:20pm....after 4-1/2 hours of pushing!!! She was a stinker! She had a couple problems after but was doing fine by 10pm that night. She was 7 lbs 2 oz and that was 3 weeks early!

I was asked by a friend if it was as bad as I thought it would be and my answer was "yes!". The contractions were painful, and the night nurse didn't understand me when I said "I think I'm ready for my epidural." So I waited for 30 painful minutes. The epidural process freaked me out and JP's hands and arms will never be the same from my squeezing them to death. They had to use forceps and then her shoulders wouldn't follow so the nurse had to push my tummy to get her out. I don't think she liked coming 3 weeks early.

I'm not proud and will admit I've had a few meltdowns. The sleep deprivation is hard and I really have no idea what I am doing. She had jaundice and had to sleep on a Billibed. It was a long 3 days but she is good now.

I can't believe she is 5 weeks old! It seems so long and yet so short an amount of time. She actually is a very content baby. We have been lucky. But she likes to make noises when she is sleeping and kept waking JP and I up so last week we had to move her into her room. It has been a lot better.

Some other thoughts...no one tells you really how bad the recover process is...I know now how wonderful a beday is...most days I don't get dressed...I've watched so much t.v. I know all the commercials now...I went 4 days without showering this week...if I have to choose between eating and sleep, sleep wins out every time...for the first 3 weeks, my adventure for the day was walking to the mailbox...I've never felt so stir crazy...I learned to not have eggs, fish, dairy, and nuts in one meal (she really had a horrible night after).

JP and I have been told by others (we are not being prejudice) that she is a beautiful baby. We agree, of course, but are relieved since we felt a lot of pressure before she was born with everyone saying she will be such a cute baby being half Asian.

OH and if you noticed I went 29 hours without eating. My last meal was at 5pm Monday night and I didn't eat until 10 pm Tuesday night. I was able to drink water and apple juice because my sugars were low but that was it!!! for 29 hours!

There was so much more involved and experienced but this is the short run down. It was and is an unbelievable event in our lives. She was completely worth it!!!

I am so bored...

I am so bored...I am on bed rest until Monday. Then it's off to the hospital to start the inducement process. My blood pressure has been a little high the last few weeks. It's not too bad but still. I had to be observed last Monday overnight at the hospital. It was not fun. The nurse blew my vein during the first attempt at putting an I.V. in. It was the worse pain I've felt. I guess it was to help me prepare for the labor process. But my doctor said I can get an epidural the minute I want one. I love my doctor.
