Quick trip to SF!

My family flew in late Friday night (flights got delayed so they didn't get to my house until 2 am!) and they were going to leave Sunday night! So Saturday we got stuff ready for the party and just hung out and Sunday we drove up to San Francisco to spend the day there! The weather was perfect and it wasn't crowded at all so it was such a fun day! Since we had to leave by 3:30 we hit up all the main attractions! 

First stop was Pier 39/fishermans wharf/bread at boudin bakery/Alcatraz 

Next stop: walk to ghiradelli square 

Next: take bus to Golden Gate Bridge 

She fell asleep on the bus! Best little traveler. She slept in her stroller for the next hour and a half. 

Then we took the bus back towards the pier and at lunch at Boudin! We had a little bit of time left so we walked down the pier some more and got some ice cream. 

'Oh TWOdles'

We had a little party at the park for our favorite two year old and it was so fun! My parents and my sister Jessica and her husband nick came to party with us as well! Lexie loves Minnie Mouse so we had to have that be our theme. My favorite type of parties to do are at the park... Kids love playing and cleanup is so easy and the weather was so nice! 

We went to Applebee's afterwards and the manager paid for this huge dessert for us all to share for her birthday. So fun! 

Also my mom couldn't wait for her to open her present at the party so she got to open it first thing in the morning! 

The big number 2!!

Our baby turned 2?! These past two years have been so much fun... I can't even remember what life was like with just me and jake... Lexie was the best decision we have ever made! The day of her birthday jake had a training in the morning and work for the rest of the day so it was pretty low key... But he came home for lunch and we opened some presents and had cupcakes! 

 

Fun facts about lexie at the age of 2:

Still takes a 3+ hour nap everyday 

Loves any and all shoes 

Loves to color, go outside and go to the park, watch her favorite shows on tv, read books and go to the library, drinks a lot of milk, such a good talker and talks to everyone, loves playing with her friends outside every day, loves to play on her dad like he's a jungle gym... And I could go on and on! I'm scared to have another one (no I'm not pregnant) because she has been such an easy baby! Don't get me wrong,.. She definitely has her moments and loves to get lost in any store we go to... But she's my little best friend and we love her so much!! 

San Francisco: day 1

The big highlight of their visit was taking them to San Francisco! Jakes sister and her husband and 5 kids were meeting us there Friday night so we decided to do all the touristy stuff before they got there! We got tickets to do the double decker bus tour which was so worth it! It took us to all the major sights and parts of the city we might not ever see...it was so fun!

It took us across the Golden Gate Bridge (windy of course) and then over to Sausalito which was the cutest most expensive little town! 

Then we explored china town and ate some yummy Chinese food.
