Born to a wealthy American father and a mother of Italian descent, June stayed in White Willow Manor--her grandmother Evelyn’s home--instead of with her own parents. The manor was a place of beauty, light, and imagination. When June saw a brief glance of something--a wisp or apparition--she wrote it off as nothing. Figments. In reality, she’d inherited Evelyn’s ability to see spirits and perceive the supernatural. A particularly nasty spirit residing in the manor harmed a young June and caused her to get sick. Evelyn, desperate, made a deal with a magical entity to save her granddaughter’s life. Intending to collect, the being waited patiently for Evelyn to pay. Yet, she never did, ignoring him because June needed her. Years passed, and three after June graduated high school she received a panicked call from Evelyn. A plea for help. See, she’d taken to playing and composing music instead of becoming an artist like her grandmother. But that was soon forgotten as she drove back to White Willow Manor.

Greeted by quiet and darkness, June was surprised to instead meet another entity. Aren--who Evelyn had treated kindly--offered June assistance in rescuing her. She’s been taken to Mirror World, they’d said. I can help you go there. With no other choice, June made a pact with Aren and bonded with them so she could cross over. And so they went, entering a mirror version of the manor. Reversed, rundown, and with magically scaled up objects all around. And...inhabited by spirits as well as living painting people. It was also there that June learned the other entity’s identity. The Puppet Master: ruler of Mirror World and magical maker of deals. He was willing to return Evelyn...if June completed seven tasks. First, June restored power to Mirror World with electricity generating crystals. She then rescued a Nightingale trapped in a cluttered room filled with old antiques dubbed The Treasure Room with the help of her illumination. The Singer, to whom the Nightingale belonged, gave June a dress to wear for the party that night. Then, three days later, she restored water to the pool to save a wish-granting jellyfish’s life. The jellyfish, Firo, granted her one wish: locating the key to Evelyn’s music box. June had been consuming food of that world, since she could not ignore hunger, and slowly started becoming a part of it.

Next, she used her intelligence and kindness to learn The Steward’s name. June decided to settle down after the fourth task two weeks later and sell tickets for The Puppet Master’s theatre. He then introduced her to Alouette and Story--two painting flower children(literally, as Alouette was a tulip and Story was a daisy)--whom he took care of. The two children were kicking up a fuss in the manor as neither could sleep. So, June was tasked with composing a lullaby. And then, well...we’ll have to see. To be continued?

First impressions.

Fashion. June always dresses casually unless she feels like going for something elegant or classy. She’s weak for vintage fashion and always thinks she was born in the wrong era. Shoes wise, June goes or either; sneakers, loafers, or flats. She doesn’t care much for heels. After graduation she pierced her nose and only occasionally wears the piercing. When it comes to accessories, she’ll never say no to jewelry or something for her hair. Sometimes she likes playing dress up and indulging her creativity. Due to her ever present lack of confidence, you’ll never see her wearing something flashy. Unless, of course, she one day conquers that.

Demeanor. Soft-spoken, determined, loyal, unassuming. Imaginative. These are all words to describe June. She’s sweet and one would not expect her to be a survivor. Or so deadpan at times, almost comedically so. She’s emotional and lacks the ability to keep herself from getting lost. While she used to be passive, slow to action, that has changed. The longer she stayed in Mirror World the more June found herself. Lost herself? June is a daydreamer but tries to keep a good head on her shoulders. If you try hard enough, you can get her attention. She’ll get to know someone and warm up to them almost immediately. One will also notice that she has a lonely air about her. Especially since she’s separated from her friends.
