Final Artist Statement

Being in this class for over 1 year I have doubted myself of think that I wouldn't be a true artist in digital photography. I came in not know what photoshop is and not know the rest of the tectonics of the digital camera. I feel that I was most successful in Photoshop because I think that it's amazing how one program can do to Photo and a Internet picture. I struggle with the camera because you have to know when you have to use the modes at the right time.

If I use the camera more often then I wouldn't be struggling with it. Like I said in the beginning I love how to use the Photoshop and I plan on using this knowledge in the future. I will use photoshop to make album and magazine cover for superstar. Heck I might make my own when I become a superstar myself. Now as my creations and my projects goes; will I have a lot of project that I love and I enjoyed creating them. But my favorite one is the Quilts because that was a personal project that I was sharing to people.

Shutter Speed

Shutter Speed determines how LONG light is allowed in. The best way to use shutter speed is when it's dark. Set your camera's iso to about 5000. With a large apture.

Aperture

Aperture is basicly the pupils of the camera. It's writin as f-stop on your camera. Bigger the number smaller the hole. Smaller the number bigger the hole.

The lady bug picture is a example for a small apture.

The picture up top is an example for a large apture.

Flash

ISO mean "International Organzation Standardization". A shorter definetion is "Speed''.

Flash

The Pros of the flash is that it adds more light to the picture and freezes time.

The Cons of the flash is the flash disturb your subject and create ugly lighting.

You don't use the flash when there is enough natural light.

The Excaliber Hotal in Las Vegas is better out without the flash because there a lot of lighting in the picture already.

Meter

The light meter measure the light in the picture. In the first picture the light was dim. In the second picture the lighting was bight. Light meter helps if you want more or less lighting in your photo.

Raining in my Dream

In this dream is man that is sitting with a unbrella in front of two lighthouses while its raining flower. The lighthouses mean that the person controllel two world and the light from those lighthouses is shining on that person. The flower are the love that the person is getting. The unbrella mean that the person can take care of himself. It's raining in my dream.

Surreal Practice Tutorial

What we did in the surreal tutorial was take a bunch of little and big picture and put them all together and blend them together so that they can be one picture and look like that art is real.

These surreal tutorial will help me with mine surreal project because I know what to bring when that moment come.

Artists Statement

My Future Quilt

This artwork is far one of my personal artwork that I ever done because I show people what my future is going to be like if I mind to what you are trying to do then you can become what you are destin to be. In the future I will pass on but I going to die for what I am.

Personal Quilt

This project was very hard but I have rise overcome the entire problem and I’ve finished my quilt. My favorite quilt is my past because I put a lot of my personal stuff on there for all of you to see and realized what I’ve been thought in my past. My less favorite quilt is my outside me because I think I could of done much better. Now in my outside and inside quilt are difference types of discussion. Inside me was just show that I’m that type of person to get along with. Outside me was showing you that I’m proud of who I am. The tools that I used the most were the gradient tool and a lot of download paintbrushes. Now my future quilt was my second favorite quilt because I was showing person that in the future I’m going to die but I’m going to die what I will be. Like I say this project was hard but it’s over now.

Hi my name is Devon Cheatham and I'm going to tell you about my portfolio In my portfolio you will find my mind in all the picture that you see. You will definitely find my heart and soul in each and ever picture that I toke and I made in photoshop. I think I could do much better with my portfolio. The reason why I haven't got some of the project because i wasn't here for some of them. Well the one that is how to the use the photoshop program. I knew how to use a camera when I stand in my Digital Photography class. And I thank my teacher Ms. Cook for teaching me how use it. Now i think that i was most successful in Photoshop because with the program i could my crazy but personal mind to all the picture that i have tookin.

Social Issues: "Choices Come Between Us

In this picture im trying to explain what happen when a person have a choices to make snd rather that choices can or will effect their. On the left is a person who loves school and is willing to help the world and very smart. But on the right is a differ from the other person. He dont care about any but himself. He want to complete his dream by himself. WITH ONE ARE YOU? Make a CHOICE.

Scary Effects

My favorite one is the vampare because it look like a real vampare.

The new tool that I work with was the new brushes and they worked good.

In the alien I had some trouble with the octpus legs.

I think I did my best on the vampare.

Compositional Trick #7 Drawing with Light

Drawing with light was and always be my favorite because in this seaction you would have to find a dark background but a strong light.

Compositional Trick #6 Framing

Framing to me is a technique that photographers use to help guide viewers eyes to their subject. A frame tells the audience to look inside.

Compositional Trick #5 Extreme Angles

Extreme Angles is taking pictures from difference angles like from a birds view and a worm view. Now in this photo I did something that any person would do. I put my hat on the horse.

compositional trick #4 Simplicity

Simplicity was the hardest one to find but I find it in picture. Simplicity is when you don't want a lot of stuff in photo but you and your shadow.

Now Marco is a very fun time to take picture because all you are doing is taking picture up close. It like the camera is a marcoscope.

compositional trick #2 Leading Line

Leading line is what took you to the emphasis even the whole picture. In the photo; you see the emphasis is the four tree in the middle of the circle but the leading line is the shadow of those four tree.

compositional trick #1 rule of third

Rule of third to me mean that you can find something that you see and that is touching your heart. This picture here touch my heart a little because you have a good healthy tree that is very beautiful and shiny green. Then you have on the left side a dead tree that not healthy and very dead brown. Sad to see one tree running out time but the other is having the time of it's life.
