1. Art of my chars or my kitties!) The thing I always wish for the most is art of my characters and my cats. It makes me so happy to get depictions of them from all sorts of artists, even if it's just sketches or icons or something small.
This is my MLP, her name is Second Star (she's modeled after my love of Peter Pan). She loves books and is a hopeless romantic. Very demure

2. Paintings by animals) This one is kind of a long shot.. but I'd LOVE LOVE more paintings by wildlife (like their footprints on canvas)! When I worked at the zoo, I started a collection of animal paintings. I currently have baby/adult cheetahs, dolphin, snow leopard, brown bear cub, king penguin and elephant. I'd like to add ones from a serval, caracal, lemur, giraffe, elk, kangaroo/wallaby, wolf. But I'd love more than that, really. If you can help me out, please contact me!!
3. Links) Links to your favorite artists/photographers. I love having new people to watch!
4. Custom engraved tags for my cats) For a long while now I've been searching for someone who can do custom engraved pet tags for my cats. I'd really like to get them tags with the Dharma logos from the show LOST on them. If you happen to own a laser engraving machine or know someone who does and can help me out with this, I'd love if you would contact me! I'm of course willing to pay and It would totally make my holiday :)
5. Donate) Donate to your local animal shelter or to a zoo or conservation group :) Most of the time, they really do need your help. Volunteer your time, money, supplies, anything. At the vet clinic I work at we put up a little flyer saying we needed towel and blanket donations and we've had so many people bring us in fleece blankets and nice plush towels and we appreciate it so much! It makes us all feel good to know the dogs that board with us or are sick have nice soft things to lay on :)
6. Random acts of kindness :)) Just be nice towards people. Even if people seem kind of rude or angry, try not to act the same towards them or the next person you come across. You never know what people are going through that might have made them like that. Maybe something bad happened in the family or someone wasn't very nice to them and they're just acting out. You being courteous towards them even when they're not at their best really could make a difference :)
7. Vet care for your pets!) I've worked for a vet for a couple of years now, and so after seeing a lot of things this really means a lot to me: Please take your animals in to the vet! I know a lot of people don't because they don't have money, or you have a cat that only stays indoors or you just think your pet is perfectly fine. We've had a lot of pets come in to our clinic for wellness visits where we've found things wrong with the pet. We've had a lot more bring their pet in cause it was horribly sick and they had never brought it in once and if they had, then maybe we could have prevented the pet from getting so ill. Please just take them in once a year AT LEAST to get an exam. If you can, get blood work so that the next year when you bring them in you can do it again and see if there's any changes that might be signaling that something is going on. This especially goes for cats! Nobody takes their cats to the vet cause "they're an indoor only animal" or "they don't act sick" (cats are AWESOME at hiding signs of illness). I love animals and I hate when we have to put pets to sleep for things that could have been detected and treated. So please please take them in!
8. Help Ben feel safe) I have a cat that has horrible anxiety about.. well.. lots of things :| The biggest issue though is having to go to the vet. It takes me and my fiancé to get him in a carrier and then he drools and pants the whole way there and while he’s at the clinic. I’ve been giving him ace as a late to help calm him down, but I hate turning to sedatives as an answer. I’d really like to buy him a Thundershirt. I have friends who use them for their dogs and say they’re the best thing ever. I’m not so sure about the cat ones, but I’d really like to try at least. If you want to send a dollar or two towards helping me buy him one, we would both appreciate it a ton! They're only $40 so I don't have far to go. My paypal is malaikawolfcat @ yahoo.com. I'd love to say I'll try and sketch a little something for anyone who helps, but I can't promise that since my schedule doesn't leave me much time for art nowadays. But maybe someday in the far future I can surprise you.

thornwolf, it's "more like when you go to the Museum of Natural History you can pay an optional donation to help the museum curators run things behind the scenes and continue to bring you what you came to see." In this case, I'll be trying to use any tips towards admission to other zoos around the area so that I can shoot photos of new animals!
