After many years of telling our kids that we'll go to Disney World when they get older we have finally come to that point.
To start off the trip we drove to the ocean because we've never seen the ocean. We live in Kansas and we see ponds and lakes, not oceans. Maria thought we would go to the ocean and the kids could wade in the waves. That quickly went from wading to full on swimming. The water was so warm and the waves so fun I could hardly stop myself from jumping in. I should have just done it, what is a little water. Next time I'll be better prepared.
Our first character sighting was Chip and Dale. Yes that is one of my Romney shirts. You'll probably see it through out the blog. Florida is a swing state, so I have to do all I can. :)
This is a classic photo that will go down in the Beasley history book. This was pretty funny, I had to drag them both over for the picture. Claire is trying to get inside my shirt. Chip and Dale are pro's, you notice they were standing back and not hugging.
This is just a picture of ridiculousness, yeah it is a word. We went in October thinking there wasn't supposed to be many people. From the lines there really wasn't that many people. We seemed to only fill up a quarter of the lines, but there were still PLENTY of people for me. I can't imagine going in full season. It actually took me three nights, after we got home, to get over the nightmares. Yes, I will classify them as nightmares, of standing in lines and trying to keep my kids corralled within arms length. One night I sat up in my bed and tried to reason with myself. My kids were in bed asleep, we were in our house and I was in my bed. So if you're going to Disney be prepared to go through your own little post partem after your trip.
Maycee in front of the castle. She was so thrilled to see it. There is a special excitement you feel when you first see the famous castle.
Morgan just being awesome cute!!!! I could stare at this picture all day.
This is Maria being scared on Splash Mountain. HA! Look at her, so cute.
Beautiful. What more can a girl ask for than a PINK CASTLE!!!
This is the end of the day at the Magic Kingdom. We were all exhausted and some of these smiles were probably being forced at this point.
These smiles were definately forced. :)
New day and revived smiles!!!
How can a girl go wrong when she's huggin Minnie Mouse.
I just wanted a picture of this guy so I could show everyone that when you think your job really stinks there could be something worse.
Handy Manny!
Jake, from the Neverland Pirates. The dude in this outfit had ADD and probably something else that he needed some medication for. It was raining and he was jumping in puddles and splashing people. The girl before Carter had her hair all nice and done with a bow in it. He thought it would be cool to undo the bow and tie it around the little girls head like a Pirate. The mom was like, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" I thought it was kind of funny.
Beauty and the Beast was a favorite!
Have you ever seen the Disney "Tarzan?" I think she looks like the little kid Tarzan in this picture. She is funny.
This is how we all felt at the end of the day. We were at Universal Studios waiting for their lazer light show. It had been raining on us for the past 30 minutes. It wasn't a hard rain, but just enough to be annoying.
This is Morgan walking out of her room after she woke up in the morning. She was truly feeling the spirit of Disney.
Classic! My awesome kids!
Walking around Epcot.
Universal Studios, Harry Potter World, and one Hot Woman! Seriously, this was super cool. I thought it was going to be small and not exciting, but it wasn't. They had the full Hogwarts Castle, the wand shop, butter beer, etc. It was pretty incredible, if you're thinking about going.
Hogwarts and two really cute kids. There is a huge ride in the castle and you get to walk all through the middle of it to get to the ride.
We were doing really well in the ride lines until this happened. Our longest wait was probably 20 minutes, but then we had some equipment failure and that took this ride to about 40 minutes. It just so happened that it was the ride with the tightest hallways, the least amount of AC, and the most annoying song that played over and over again. Made for a good time and a memorable picture though.
Carter with some Marvel Comic friends!
Tops of the houses in Harry Potter.
Our last day and best picture. We had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa Hall, and Uncle James and Aunt Melony! The kids were good and hopefully the three oldest will have made some great memories. We were very blessed to be able to go to Disney World and we're so happy we were able to share it with our kids!
