Perfectly Imperfect
I watched Mamma Mia tonight. There are a few songs I've always loved. One is Slipping through my fingers. I loved it when I first saw the movie, but now as I held my little boy in my lap and we snuggled the song opened up and deepened.
"Slipping through my fingers all the time
I try to capture every minute
The feeling in it
Slipping through my fingers all the time"
As hard as my life can be at times,it is okay. There's not enough money for some things we need and some wants we'd like. Sometimes leaving to go to work is hard and I feel like I lead two different lives with two different persons.
Yet I wouldn't change it. You can't have the sweet without the bitter. When that day comes when I leave to stay at home with my little boy, there will be bitter. I'll miss all that working gives me. But to leave my little boy and I feel like I miss out so much. That too is bitter.
As I held him tonight... just a bit longer because I won't always be able to hold him forever. My life is full. There is so much good in my life I have to be thankful for. I have a boy and a husband that are the loves of my life. I have a place to sleep. Food to eat. A job that provides. I have love in my life.
"Sometimes I wish I could freeze the picture
And save it from the funny tricks of time"
Right now life isn't perfect, But it's imperfectly perfect. While I may not want to stay in this stage forever. There are moments I wish I could freeze and come back and visit. But that is not given to us.
Please Lord, help me to enjoy each moment and not be too busy or distracted to notice moments of serenity and peace. Help me to capture these little moments with my boy, in my life, or with my husband. Help me remember what is good in my life. Help me find that which increases my soul.

Wait? We might move?
Time flies and finding time to update a blog...doesn't happen very often. But my guys are asleep so I'll take the time for a short update. .
It's been a busy summer full of fun. We've visited family, celebrated the 4th, and Caleb and my birthdays. Caleb has discovered the world outside. The most offensive thing you can do to this kid is to go outside without him. We went to Pioneer park in Provo and let him discover the water fountains there. That was so much fun! He's also starting to get the hang of playgrounds, and loves the slide and swing. He's quickly turning into a little boy, getting into things, exploring, and being a master of getting dirty.

One of the biggest things we've been contemplating about this summer is moving. The apartment gets smaller the more this little guy gets bigger. We found a grant for West Jordan that gives us up to $5,000 for down-payment assistance and we only have to live there five years. I think we could buy something and stay there for five years and then move into a home or something. Jeremy will be graduated by then, and hopefully working. We've found a place we think we will try for. Hopefully the grant will go through and everything will fall into place. I have faith and hope that if its what the Lord approves of, He will make it happen. This is the link to the place we are thinking about. There's a few condo's in the area that we might consider. It would be fantastic if we can get it to all work out.

Don't you love those little toes sticking out of the crib?

Sunday with Caleb
I know I don't post much... Life is busy keeping up with my little guy and balancing everything else. Maybe one if these days I'll post again. Until then... You'll have to settle for a picture

Caleb is....
Wow it's been a while...
Life has gotten crazy busy! Everyday I get up at 450-ish and pump and get ready for work. I spend my day with my patients managing treatment sessions and mainly trying to look like I know what I'm doing. Then I drive home to see my little boy and husband's smiling faces and spend an hour with the three of us before Jer goes to school. Then its just me and the little guy. Soon its bedtime and we all go to sleep. Rinse and repeat.
As far as updates go... Caleb. This little guy is on the move. He was sitting up by Christmas (like I predicted) and a few weeks ago he figured out how to push himself back into sitting from his belly. He spent the last month rolling on the floor to get to where he wants to go. But this weekend *drumroll* my family taught him how to crawl. He spent his 7 month birthday crawling around. Round 1 or Round 2 He's not very fast...yet. But he will be in a few days. We hear him giggling... and it's because he's getting to where he wants to go. Its funny. He doesn't roll around anymore, its like he's forgotten. Or moved on to bigger things. Rolling is so yesterday. We've also started him on solids and he's slowly getting used to it. He loved it at first then after a few days didn't care for it as much. We started feeding him from pouches and he's starting to like it a little bit more. We'll keep working on it. He sure is such a happy little guy with a personality that makes me smile. He can be such a mama's boy. When I come home at night he kicks and kicks and he starts to 'ooh oooh' Its like it makes his day to have me walk through the door. Then when I hold him he buries his head in my shoulder like he's giving me a hug. It's very special for me. But he is buddies with his Daddy. They play together so much. He really does have just a happy personality. As long as he isn't tired or hungry and someone is smiling at him he is perfectly content. And nothing makes him happier than to have both Mom and Dad home with him. I sure love him.
Jeremy is doing great. He plays Mr. Mom in the days and goes to school and night. I'm very proud of him and how well he's doing in school. It's not easy trying to manage Caleb and do homework, and housework, and go to school. But he tries his best. Caleb is quite the wild card when it comes to making plans for the day and getting it done.
As for me... My days consist of work and taking care of Caleb at home. Work goes well. It's a good job and I enjoy taking care of people. Some days are better than others. Some patients challenge me and others make me laugh, and some I truly enjoy helping get better. I miss my little boy and staying home with him, but its nice to know that Jeremy stays home with him. Sometimes when I get up in the morning he wakes up before I leave and I love seeing him and his smiles before I leave. I miss it on the days he doesn't wake up.
In other news, we bought a new car. It's a Suzuki Reno. We got a good tax return this year and thought a good way to use it would be to replace Jeremy's car and have two reliable cars again. My Saturn does well, but it seems to be feeling the wear and tear of being our main vehicle for the past two years. I'd like to keep it longer but if we using it like we do it'll give out and then we'll be stuck with two unreliable vehicles. I like the Reno. It rides smooth and will be good for trips. It's nice to have a good vehicle for both us again. Jeremy really likes driving the Reno. Hopefully sometime this summer we'll be able to take it out for a real spin and go on a road trip!
Well that's the quick summary. So much more has happened but it would take too long to update and we've all got better things to do!
