ME: Mabel, do you want some cereal for breakfast?
MABEL: No, thank you.  Maybe after Christmas

ME: What??   (Turns out it was Telli Tubbies)

She also spends a lot of time telling me what she wants for her birthday in August and what she wants to be for Halloween.  She is thinking she wants an Elsa dress, crown and shoes for her birthday and she wants to be a spider for Halloween.  I'm just glad she doesn't want to be Elsa for Halloween.

When Charlie cries, she covers her ears and runs for me yelling "Charlie needs you!!"  She also covers her ears as soon as she realizes she's hurt him accidentally but before he starts to cry.

Valentines Day

This is just a bit of life lately.  Should I have blog posts with more hitting topics?  Does any one care?

So for Valentines, we couldn't go out the night of because Mabel got really sick so we went out on Monday to Carrabas.  This place has ruined cheap Italian food for me.

 

 Erin watches Charlie for me some times while I work out in my mom's home gym. She must have a very soothing soul because she is the only one he will willing go to from my arms and she can get him to sleep easier than I can!

 

Eric's only surprise from me for Christmas.  Luckily, he loves it.

Shaking Quakies 2014

Shaking quakies (shaking quaking aspen trees) is a yearly tradition my family has to go up the canyon on General Conference Sunday and shake aspen trees simply for the pleasure of watching the leaves fall.  Basically, it's a nice reason to go up the canyon and take a walk and have hot chocolate and donuts.

This year we made a change and went up American Fork Canyon to the Timpooneke Camp Ground.  This ended up being a great call because there was ample parking, less people, picnic tables and a fire pit!  We love Millcreek Canyon up in Salt Lake but it's just so small and getting so crowded.
