Added a "new" car to the stable. Every family of two (+ a dog) needs at least four cars, right?

Image

Went to the Post Office with Daisy, and saw another dog that we know form the other end of town. Tied Daisy up so I could be helpful and catch Sonny (the other dog).

Sonny runs right past Daisy, and she takes off in pursuit. Hits the end of her leash and *pop* goes her chain collar. Guess we need a heavier duty one...

So then they take off, and I eventually corner them. Daisy is way more interested in running and playing with Sonny, so I end up carrying her all the way home. Not fun, my arms were already killing me from bad reactions to my allergy shots yesterday.

Get her home, with Sonny following, put her in the fenced yard. Lure Sonny close to the fence because he wants to go in and play, and despite my best efforts she gets out instead of him getting in.

Now they're both off again, they tear down the alley, and after following them for a block or two I lose them. So I go back for my car.

End up at the other end of town where Sonny lives, he came home, but no Daisy.

Come home, and she's in the neighbor's yard eating the bread that's out for the birds.

And for those who haven't seen the newer pictures...

Tired.

Second night of puppyness.

Got a *bit* more sleep last night than the first night. No messes to clean up this time though.

Plus she's going into her crate on her own during the day, still not keen on it overnight.

New house. As usual, when life's interesting, I'm too busy to post, and when it's not there's nothing to post about...

New house. Busy, so short post. Pictures: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=101986&id=711518696&l=9c5c2159af

@ "Work"

Been a busy day so far, but now there seems to be a lull.

Taking the chance to post here for the first time in forever.

Not a lot new going on here that many of you haven't read about over in my wife's journal.

IN theory the budget for my employment should be good until June/July, but my current contract expires at the end of Feb. as the method of hiring me (basically with no hiring process whatsoever) only allows them to keep me on for a year before I have to do the real process.

At this point it sounds pretty much like a "get all the paperwork in so we can rubber-stamp it and make it official" process, so I'm not worried. But it has meant doing said annoying paperwork.

Since Mel mentioned the Shear Panic pieces in a comment, I figured I'd show some pics (nabbed from BoardgameGeek.com).
Pics behind cutCollapse )

Played two of my new games with Mel recently. Image and Image.

Had fun. Shear Panic's more complicated than I would have thought. She beat me by four points (with her last move ending the game, and scoring 4 for me, and 8 for her. A tight race till the end)

Home again after our Colorado trip. Had a good time for the most part.

Rafting, hiking, visited some cool spots.

Too much time with too many family members at once for the second half, but that's why Mel and I had our own trip beforehand.

Trying to get my feet back on the ground work-wise.

Added a new car to the family.

Boy is she fast. Thank god for cruise control.

Sorry for the lack of other posts. Stuff's going on, but I don't know if this is an appropriate place for much of it.
