This story was born from my love for 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Lone Star. Firefighters, am I right? This is entirely a work of fiction, and I make no claim to understand the realities of being a first responder, except that I have the utmost respect for those that do this kind of work. At first, I was really hesitant to even attempt this year's spn_j2_bigbang given everything that's happening in the world. I wasn't sure I could take on a large project with actual deadlines, but I'm happy I pushed through. The world needs more Firefighter!AUs ♥
The concept of assigning firefighters to help out a spouse/significant other/family members after a tragedy is a real tradition, though I doubt this is the intended result :P

Summary: Before his 18th birthday, bitter foster kid Jensen Ackles was given a choice between prison time or military service. He chose the latter and spent the next decade channeling his rage into training and multiple tours overseas. When he’s finally discharged, he moves to Boston to live with the only person who ever gave a damn about him, but the anger that’s plagued him since he was a teen refuses to let him settle into a normal life. Pushed to the brink, Jensen discovers the world of illegal fighting and uses it to burn the violence out of his system. Empty warehouses, rundown factories, and foreclosed clubs become the arenas where Jensen fights for money and relief.
One night, after emerging victorious from his latest challenge, he finds a young man waiting for him, offering him a prize he won’t refuse. Jensen sees so much of himself in the skinny, stubborn kid, and he’s torn between his desire to corrupt and his need to protect. Jared Padalecki is lost, working at a small diner and trying to make ends meet. Notes: This was a story idea that I came up with a long time ago and never got around to writing. When BB season rolled around, I pulled it back out and gave it another go. It morphed from a simple PWP into a 40K+ behemoth in almost no time at all. I’m glad I finally finished it, as it took me to several unexpected places!

Takes place a little after current canon, no s14 spoilers as I haven’t watched beyond the first few episodes. Summary: It took Dean a few weeks to realize what was really going on with his brother. Once he did, it took him another week to work out how he felt about the revelation.
Notes:For runedgirl… It was my pleasure to write this for you! Especially since I felt like your prompts could have been mine, too :) It’s a little bit of a headcanon I’ve always had, despite all the reasons it probably could never happen, so I had to handwave a few details to make it work. I tried to work in a couple of your prompts and as many of your likes as I could—trust me, I wish I had time to add even more because I love this idea so much. Merry Christmas, my friend!
Back around with a handful of fills for spn_masquerade! I had the opportunity to fill five amazing prompts, all very very different but fun in their own way. Some new things for me, and some not :)

J2 CSI 'Verse - Story One Explicit. 10000 words. AU.
Jensen's job never gets easier. His latest crime scene is no exception. Tasked with investigating the violent murder of a young woman whose body was discovered in a famous actor's hotel room, Jensen tries not to let the circumstances of the crime, not to mention the intrusive press coverage, affect his ability to do his job.
Amidst the chaos, however, he meets Jared Padalecki. While his instincts as a CSI tell him to stay away, Jensen can't help being drawn to the struggling actor. As the case progresses, Jensen wonders if Jared might be more than a simple distraction during a stressful case.
He could be what saves Jensen from burning out completely.
As promised, this is a totally revamped version of my original story. I have removed the entire CSI 'Verse from my LJ so that I can edit and refresh each part. For this first story, I've added more than 3000 words. The story was never originally written to have sequels, yet it ended up having four, and this one really needed a lot of editing. I hope you enjoy the result, whether you've read and enjoyed the series before, or if you're new! Trust me when I say that this version is so much better than the original. It's not just in the details, but hopefully in the story arc as well. I mean, Jensen even has a specialty now! Trust me, that'll come up later :)

Just a quick update to say that I've removed the entire J2 CSI 'Verse from my Livejournal. I wasn't happy with the way I left it, and I've been meaning to take it down for a while.
That being said, it's for a good reason!
I'm refreshing the entire universe! Let's face it, the first two stories were never meant to have sequels, so there was a lot that didn't match up and there were holes everywhere. I loved the stories, but they needed work. And I'm happy to say that the first story, Corpus Delicti [The Facts of a Crime], has already been rewritten, adding 3000 words to the original 6800 word story. It'll be so much better, I promise, and will hold so much more for those new to the 'Verse and those that enjoyed it before.
Needless to say, this is all serving to refresh my memory as I work on the final story. Abandoning this universe has always been my greatest regret and now I have the time and inspiration to fix that. So, the story should be reposted on AO3 sometime this week or next, and I'll be sure to leave a note here as well as in the original story posts (which will be replaced with the new versions).
InSecurity. Jensen Ackles/Jared Padalecki. NC17. 8600 words. Canadian Spy!AU. Humor. Age Difference. Enemies to Lovers and back and forth. Loosely based on the Canadian TV series of the same name. I couldn't resist!
Recruited straight out of UBC, Jensen found himself riding the fast-track at the National Intelligence and Security Administration’s Vancouver Operations Center. From analyst to field agent to deputy unit leader, Jensen followed every order, completed every menial task, and filled out paperwork in triplicate just to get ahead.
Now, he was a Unit Leader at only 34 years old. Along with the title came a better parking spot, a significant raise, and a fancy new office from which he could watch his team (his own team! Filling out their own paperwork in triplicate!) from behind floor-to-ceiling walls of metal and glass.
He had everything else. Getting a nemesis was the obvious next step. Based on his shiny new job title, Jensen thought he deserved a really good one.
Written for my darling dugindeep's birthday! WHICH WAS LAST WEEK, during which I spent most of my time beta'ing her Big Bang (which is just a gem and you should READ THAT TOO), and contains some of her FAVE tropes :P

He has two best friends, and a massive crush on both of them. Everything is going well until he introduces Danneel to Jensen. They hit it off a little too well, leaving Jared to wonder if he's lost his chance with them for good.

For the first j2_reversebang challenge, I had the chance to create some art for a theme I'd always wanted to read! And then I was lucky enough to have non_tiembo_mala write it for me! So without further ado...
When Jared unexpectedly finds himself in possession of a stolen jewel that belongs to the mysterious and powerful sorceress who lives in the woods behind his castle, he feels compelled to return the stone right away. The witch surprises him by offering to grant him one wish, and the last thing he expects is to fall in love.
This is really only the third story I've done art for (and for good reason, I'm a terrible artist!), but this time I got to craft the prompt first instead of fitting a particular story. This is a prompt I've always wanted to read, but it needed a good fantasy author to write it, and non_tiembo_mala totally stepped up! I was lucky that my first two authors dropped out, truly 😋 Pinch hitters for the win!
Media: Prismacolor pencils, photo manipulations, aesthetic. About the art: I started out drawing the star sapphire oh a whim thinking I could connect it to a fantasy element. But I really liked how it turned out and built the rest of the pieces around it. I also drew the sunset scene. The images of Jared and Jensen are photo manips (at which I improved greatly from from the first draft of the art I considered submitting, trust me!). The title banner came about from me trying to be clever with layers, and was actually a mistake but since non_tiembo_mala and I loved the result, I decided to keep going 😋

Jensen has been watching Arsenal Football Club play for years, going so far as to co-found a supporters club with his best friend. They watch matches at the same bar every weekend, drinking, cheering, and commiserating. When the hottest man Jensen has ever seen walks into their bar one Saturday morning, Jensen thinks his dreams have come true. There’s only one problem: Jared isn’t an Arsenal fan.
notes. A lot of this is based off my own experiences with my local Arsenal Supporters Club. It's amazing. I started writing this at the beginning of last season, meaning it's been a year since I began. I got distracted writing another Soccer!AU [He Gives Me Fever (Pitch) for brokenhighways], but I finally managed to finish this one, and I'm a little in love with these two. football = soccer and Tottenham Hotspur is a garbage team.

It plunges them into the obscure and bloody history of an old plantation where ghost sightings and a consuming madness mean the clock is ticking.
Using every resource they have, including the help of the last Campbell ancestor in the South, the testimony of a powerless ghost, and the expertise of a handsome young historian, Sam and Dean need to uncover the truth behind the haunting before it claims another innocent victim. notes. This story is set in an imagined Season 12 and thoroughly ignores the majority of Season 11. In my version, Chuck never got involved, they were able to banish Lucifer again, and Sam and Dean were forced to find a way to lock Amara back in her cage. This was my attempt at writing an ‘episode’ of Supernatural.
While technically a sequel to my pre-series story, Don’t Let it Ride You, this can be read as a stand-alone. All you need to know is that Dean and Sam’s relationship ended when Sam left for Stanford and hasn’t resumed.
