Well we've made it! We love our new house, and we're trying to get settled in. It's hot and humid too......and I love it. Ahhhh the humidity:) Seriously. I think especially after living in Seattle for three years where it was beautiful, but never got over 75F. I'm enjoying feeling HOT again. We got a kiddy pool this week to help us cool off:) So far, we LOVE Indiana!

Today we drove to Lincoln, Nebraska and stayed the night with our good friends the Hoffmans. It was so good to see them! And I wish I had gotten a picture!!

We're on our way to Muncie! Day 1......stopped in Evanston, WY at McDonald's and there were these sweet saddle chairs! I just thought they were cool. We stayed that night in Cheyenne at the Little America Hotel. We thought the food was good, and the room looked like it was straight out of the 1930's which we were surprised by, and thought it was cool.

So, after Kellen's week in the desert, a Mexican walked in my door. Well, if a Mexican saw Kellen, he would probably say, that's just a tan white boy. And he would be right. But here is our comparison:

Kellen's week in the Canyonlands was his favorite week. He loves the desert. And it was nice and hot (upper 90s) the week he was there.

Skippyjon Jones Book Fair at the Provo Library! We got to listen to Judy Schachner talk about writing about Skippyjon Jones and about her crazy siamese cats at home. The kids got their faces painted, they made skippy masks and capes, played games, won prizes, and got a few free books! It was awesome.

Today Kellen was in Moab, UT. Before setting out to backpack through Canyonlands National Park, the group took a day rest in Moab. Kellen decided to go golfing and to Arches National Park with a few others.  Again...so lucky.......

05/05 - 05/10/2012

This week Kellen was on the Green River for his wilderness medicine course. They were rafting everyday and sleeping on the shore under the stars at night. They actually got to get a little spoiled because their rafting guides were actual guides (rather than doctors). The guides cooked for them so they were eating salads and steak, chicken, cooked eggs, sausage, and just generally non-camping food.  And then of course they were learning how to respond to emergency situations on the river. So it wasn't all fun :)
