Visit with Santa

Santa came and visited P's preschool today, the parents were able to come and take pictures and let their other "non preschool" kids come too.

(this morning he said he would only sit next to Santa, I guess he changed his mind)

ImageL was fine with Santa until she noticed they were calling all the kids one by one to sit with him. As soon as she realized that she turned around and starred at the floor the rest of the time.

(dropped paint inside and swirled them around)

(don't even ask how hard it is to get a one year old to co-operate
with handprints using fabric paint).

Christmas skirts

After seeing this skirt over at dana-made-it.com I loved it!

long time no post

It's been a month since my last post! I have no reasons for not posting other than we haven't been up to much. Although for Thanksgiving we decided to go down to Arizona and spend the week with Patrick's sister. It was nice to get a break from cold weather and the kids loved playing with their cousins and running around outside. While down there we went to see the Mesa Temple lights, and it's the only time I remembered to take out my camera. So here's the one picture worth putting up.
Image Hopefully I'll be better this month about posting things.

9 weeks and counting

For those that don't know already
We are expecting another baby
it should be here around the first week of June.
I know it's a little earlier than when I normally tell people,
but i've already met with the Dr. and I didn't think I could
keep it to ourselves for much longer.

October happenings

Whew what a month, it just flew by. First off we have Lilly's birthday, then Kaitlynn's, followed by Halloween.

Image

Lilly was sick on her birthday so she wasn't into it that much, and I didn't get much on my camera, mostly on the video camera.

Image (this for Kevin) Lilly's Tinker Bell Pj's yes they are a "little" big but she insisted on wearing them

Image my little cheese-er Kaitlynn.
if she sees a camera she will ham it up.

Image getting a good trick-or-treating shot proved
to be difficult

Image we went to our parents trunk-or-treat
Lilly loved handing out candy to everyone.
Lilly kept us laughing while out trick-or-treating....
she would say "trick or treating" when the people would answer the door.
At first she wouldn't say trick-or-treat and when people asked her to say it she would look at them give them a dirty look turn and walk away!
If the people at the door let her have a choice of candy she would take forever looking at what she already had and then looking at what they were offering.

there were a quite a few houses that had four or five steps up to the door so when we got to one that had one step up she excitedly told the lady at the door "you only have one step!"

country farm fest

Last night we went with some friends to a farm festival. The kids had a bast.
and my camera decided to have a low battery all of the sudden.

(and the dads had fun hiding and scaring the kids)
that was until P and C ran right into each other head first.

lessons to be learned by Kaitlynn

Image If you leave your food out I will get to it and eat it.
(even if I'm not supposed to eat it)

Image don't even think about putting a long sleeved shirt on me, i will find a way to take it off!

Image I can make a mess in one second regardless of baby proof doors

Image my favorite thing to chew on are flip-flops
I don't care if it makes you cringe in disgust.

Image the couch is the best place to play

Image oh ya, I will only walk when I feel like it or if you offer me your car keys.

Welcome home Kevin!

Saturday Evening we were able to head up to Ft. Douglas and welcome Patrick's brother Kevin home from Iraq. While we waited we enjoyed a BBQ, cake, and the kids had fun in a bouncy house. (also I'm sorry for the poor quality of the photos..... a little boy got a hold of my camera and changed settings)

Imagehere he is.....he came out waiving,
Payten was happy to him, he went up and gave him a big hug!

Image All night other marines that had served with Kevin would take one look at Patrick and immediately ask... "you waiting for Reilly"
Afterwards we all went to dinner, we had a great time and the kids were definitely worn out by the time we got home.

Labor day weekend

Our Labor Day weekend was full of fun. We went on carnival rides, watched fireworks, and sat out for a parade.
