Last finish of the year!

First, Thank you for all the comments on my last two finishes.  Yes, I am beyond glad to be done with Forgiveness.  Also, Morning Glory isn't all that big so getting it done wasn't too shocking. heh.

Now.... onto my latest finish.  Tempting Teas.

Here it was before.

Here is the after.  All finished up.  I quite enjoyed this piece.  I am also glad that the fabric was big enough that I finished the stitching before reaching the not so well dyed portion.  It all worked out super well.

I am still rather sad with the poor amount of finishes I had this year.  I've started looking into plans for next year.  I think I am going to start a new HAED chart.  At least if I am working on some of my super huge projects I won't feel so down at not finishing things.  I will still be doing my ten hour rotation too.  Not quite sure how I am planning on working that out. Most likely it will be a page on the HAED then my four piece ten hour rotation.  Then repeat.  Maybe not.  That is still under debate in my mind.  heh.  I know I am not going to be doing another Crazy January thing.  I just have way too many things left over from this year... adding more would make my head explode.

I hope all is going well in your worlds.

Well, that was a quick month!

I had no clue a month had passed!  Oops.  I've been busy.  Some of that time was even spent on stitching.

First.  I worked on Morning Glory.

Before.

After.

Yes, a single ten hour rotation was enough to finish the whole piece.  It was fun to do all of the fancy stitches.  Also felt pretty good to have a finish so quickly!

Next I worked on Forgiveness.  Ugh.  This one drags as always.

Yes!  You do see that right.  Forgiveness is finished.  Completed.  Done.  I never have to pull it out again!  I super celebrated the end of this one.  Feels so good to have it finished.

Next up I get to work on Tempting Teas.

A finish!!! A finish!!!!

Mary Margaret is finished!  Wooo!  Half the girls are done now. heh.

Here she was before.

Here she is finished.

Image

Oh, nice shadow there.  Oops.

I am happy to have another finish this year.  They have been so few. I added some back-stitching to this one.  I had to put some on the bottom of the pear to help is stand out on the ground.  Other than that and a few counting mistakes... she is good to go.

Next up will me Morning Glory by Drawn Thread.  It will be fun to play around with some fancy stitches.

Tempting

First, thank you for your comments on Forgiveness.  I really am close to a finish.  I can't wait. ugh.  heh.

Now onto more interesting things.  Tempting Teas.  Nearing a finish on this one as well.  In fact, right now it looks like I am going to have two finishes next round.  That will feel amazing if it happens!

Here was teas before.

Image

Here it is now.

Image

That is the bottom of the piece.  I have more than enough fabric.  Also, really glad that the kinda crappy part of the hand-dyed won't be needed for my tea piece.

Next up will be Mary Margaret.  Will I get her finished?  I think so!

Forgiveness never ends

I swear this one makes me lose my mojo every time.  I need to power through.

Here it was before.

Image

Here it is now.

Image

Normally when I would power through this just so I could get to a finish.  With this one however, I am afraid I wouldn't stitch for the rest of the year if I tried that!  It is looking like I will only have one more push on this one.  So, I guess that is something to look forward to.  Just need this one to be done.  Ugh.  Never thought it would be such a slog.  I blame it all on the colours.  They are just too underwhelming.  Ah well.

Next up it Tempting Teas.  So nice to have one I look forward to so much!  Hopefully I will have an update somewhat soon. :)

Happy Stitching all!

Just a little more

First I bought I new calendar for my stitching next year.  I kinda wanna see how often I am stitching.  This year has been so low with finishes I kinda wonder where my time is going. heh.

Here it is.

Image

I think it will be nice to use.  We will see how that goes.

I worked on Mary Margaret this round.  Here she was before.

Image

Here she is now.  A nice chunk done on her.  Next time I will work on the long dark skirt.  I may even get a finish next time she is up.  That would be exciting.

Image

I will be back to Forgiveness next.  Oh, how I want this one finished.

More tea please.

First, I think I am going to put a Drawn Thread piece in my rotation after my last finish.  Having two quaker type piece in rotation at the same time was a bit odd.  Worse since I loved one and am not liking the other, heh.

Now, onto the stitching.  Worked on Tempting Teas.  Really loving this one still.  The thread colours are just delightful.  If anyone has this, or one of her other lists, you really should start it!

Those tea pots take a bit of work.  There are a more thread colours than you think and lots of counting.  Really worth it though.  As you can see I am getting to the end of the ABCs.  I think I will only have two more rotations on this one.  There are two more tea pots to do!  I figure a tea pot a rotation and more teas.... then poof, it will be done.  Might even get it finished before the end of the year.

The Kid is a senior in high school this year.  We just got his senior photos back.  I just have to share two of them.

This is a nice senior year photo.  It is outdoors and just a nice photo.

This second one is so my kid.  Hamming it up and having fun.  Looks like he is getting ready to release some big album and this is the cover.  snerk

Finished!

First I finally got the missing pieces for my sewing machine.  I finally was able to finish up the project bags I was making.

TADA!!!!!

Image

Two each.  Two bat bags and two spider bags.  The spiders have the bats and the inner fabric and the bates have the spiders as the inner fabric.  I quite like them.  I used The Twisted Stitcher's tutorial.  It was wonderfully easy to follow.

I worked on Beatrix Potter this round.  Here she was before.

Image

Here she is after.  A finish!  My fourth finish of the year and my third finish of my January starts.  Not great on finishes this year.  Still, she is finished and I am quite chuffed with that.

Image

Been spending today making quince jam.  It's is a time consuming jam.  Best I get back to it.

Happy Stitching all!!!

Another ten

Fought my way through another ten hours on Forgiveness.  I really wish I liked this piece more. Sigh.

Before.

After.

I found the bottom left corner!  Also found my poor measuring skills for placement.  At least I didn't run out of fabric.  I finished the second page too.  Finally.

Now onto Beatrix.  Will there be a finish?  I hope so!

A Fraktur finish

I have finished up the Plum Street Sampler Fraktur Friends piece.

Image

This is as far as it will get for awhile.  I am still waiting on pieces for my sewing machine.  I hope I eventually get them.  heh.

Next up will be Forgiveness.  Kinda dreading working on this one.  It helps to know I can put it away after 10 hours.
